Has anyone tried these Goodyear gatorback belts???? I recently read a article about this belt in Snowtech ( which I believe is the most informative and unbiased sled magazine IMO ) and seemed very interesting. I've tried other non yamaha belts due to other claims of better grip from softer compound but they definately don't last let alone provide and better performance tried babck to back runs in 1000 ft and 1/2 mile with new belts cleaned and broken in with about same mileage and the Yamaha belt did as good or better speed wise better in 1/2 mile run than the ultimax 3 belt. thanks for any opinions and let it snow bith for hunting and sledding

Read the same article and was wondering the same. However $97.00 plus shipping will get me 2 Yamaha belts. So it will need to improve power delivery or have to last more than twice as long to get your $$ worth.

My 2 cents

Yami belts only. they shred everything else quick. and thier cheaper than anything else, y change.

ive never roasted a yami belt. however I have seen multiple ski-doo belts toasted on a variety of different models. I think the yami belt is a solid choice.

I can kill a yamaha belt. Try an 8 hour session of 1/4 mile drag race testing with back to back runs.
Trail riding tho with good clutching they last forever.

10-4 I'm a trail rider, my bro popped one on his Nytro XTX last year on one of his off trail excursions.

It seems nobody who replied so far has actually tried one of these belts.
So how can you say it's not better? I have smoked yami belts and my clutches are set up correctly. I tried all different kinds of belts and yami belts seem to be the best for how I ride. Next time I need a belt I'd be willing to try it out. If it lasted twice as long I'd be willing to pay the extra cash. Who knows they may have found something.

Exactly guardrail I use Yammie belts only. Have tried the Ultimax which I thought was junk and it didn't perform any better was really just wondering about the use of these belts and wehter it will perform better and last longer and reduce any slippage you may get and there claim of a ruduction in heat of 20% was interesting also. may have to try it just to test them out.

I did try this belt this summer on 1/8 drag strip. Irun an 06 apex rtx. On first weekend it has so mutch grip it just spins track,so I took it off. Next time out I changed skid and it was better. The clutches run mutch cooler. I don't how much longer it will last but I liket so far.

They shred allright! I go through 4 per season. It's a good thing they're cheap (no pun intended). Don't go off saying I've got a clutch alignment issue, I've been down that road. There is nothing about this sled that works in the deep snow...including the belts.
