I saw the phazer and other 07 yammis at the show in Syracuse today. I must say it looks a lot better in person. The pictures don't do it justice. Talking with the reps there I am leaning more towards the lower end model and doing my own upgrades to the shocks and such. It was very comfortable to sit on and stand up/move around. You could lift up the front or back with one hand.
A lot of people are saying it is an entry level sled. I don't feel this is the case. It's purpose built for big bumps and tight trails. The machine is all suspension and it's easy to get up on the handlebars. While 80hp doesn't sound like much, it's going to surprise a lot of people. There will be one in my garage without a doubt.
For anyone interested in riding one, I was told that they will be available in Colebrook NH for the public. Unfortunately that's too far for me to travel. Hopefully some of you guys will get a chance.

Got to sit/stand on one and "jump" around on it at Donahue's in Wis. Rapids on Saturday. It really feels good under ya, seems very small in size, but good. I will be interested in ridin' one to see how the power feels with it's small feeling size, still think 100hp or so would be much better, but, we'll see.....................................
Also, for the hell of it demo'd the '06 sleds that Yamaha had there and WOW, those things were beat!!! I mean, there is no way that I would be impressed if I was commin' off another brand and rode a sled that had that much play in the steering and so much noice from the suspension/skid. Not at all the way that my RTX feels with 2400+ miles, and these demo's only had around 1200miles on them. Really though the demo's must get BEAT bad as they were very rough around the edges in every way, not even the same feel as mine at all.

The Apex that I demo rode back on Feb 11th had 900 miles on it, I cant imagine how many miles that same sled probably has on it now and all the people that have taken their turn abusing it.

I agree. It's a lot easier to abuse something when you didn't pay for it.
