So I wanted to mount my GPS and not disturb, drill or have restricted acess to the pod or dash bag. So here is what I came up with. It's a handle bar ram mount. I just fished the u bolt through the riser with the bar reducing shim in. I had to grind a 45 on the ball mount it self where it meets the riser. It was a touch to large to fit. I generally only use the GPS at intersections on trail I don't know. So it being down isn't a big deal for me. The picture is representative of where I would be sitting. It's about 6" above the fuel cap.

Here is how mine ended up last season. For this season I am working on upgrading to a 7" unit.

If you can find a lake effect riser they have the ram ball mount built in.

OSP makes a nice mount bracket that puts the GPS right above the gauges. Uses the two factory bolt in that area to attach. From there I just Velcro the GPS to the bracket. Works great.

Maybe it's an option. He drills and taps one of the cross braces and threads a ball in there. I guess anyone with the skills could do there own.

I used a Garmin Montana marine mount on mine. No drilling, just used the existing holes in the riser.
