I am sure he has a Rock heater on it.. you have to go to the lowest setting and when the red light goes on, then move up one space and the red light will turn to green. Thats almost in the off position.
I have never seen the green light.

I can only speak to the heaters with the toggle switch. With the switch in the on position the red light indicates full power to the grips when the handlebar switch is in the lowest heat setting. Go up one setting with the handlebar switch and you will see a green light. The green light indicates you are using the factory settings. With the toggle switch off there is no light and grips heat according to the factory settings within the ECU

- 2007 Attak - LOVE my sled!!!
I always run them on low, but when I put in a rear cooler in and burped it I didn't check my heaters and left it running for a while.
The bars were hot with bare hand's, and was just wondering if you turn them off. Is there a green light and a red light with the LED?
Thanks, Kevin.
There is one LED that can be either Green or Red.
Green means you are in one of the factory settings. (1 thru 8 Bars on the display)
Red means you are in High Heat mode. Think of RED as Fire. (Zero Bars on the display)

the red light and green light are the same light. the green light means you are in normal mode the red light means they are on super heat it comes on at zero setting and is like extra high heat most would warm up the sled at this red light setting and then switch to a more comfortable setting once on the move. the biggest problem with the old apexes was no power to the hand warmers until certain rpm was achieved so they never got preheated and could not ever get hot enough when it was cold out. rocks kit the main thing it does is allows the hand warmers to get power at idle and once warm they can stay warm even in the wind. the best mod I did to my 07 was rocks Yamaheaters I held off for a couple years and tried better gloves every kind of hand guard and nothing was enough. Then I thought about all the money I wasted on all those non-fixes and I already paid for a Yamaheater kit so I broke down and bought them and from the very first ride I was kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Worth every penny. Thanks Rock for all your great products!!

I have a set on my Attack. I set mine at 4 and leave them, unless its real warm then off. Rock is a great guy with an exceptional product. Very HAPPY customer.I really need to get a set from Rock...... would love to have the problem of hot grips. (07 apex stock grips).

Good products. Have it on my 08,works great. Just added one to my 07,and added the thumb booster. One late cold night, I thought my thumb warmer quit work. No...... It was just that cold I couldn't feel it. Extra $45 is worth being able to feel my throttle instead of numbness. He's also pretty quick to respond to emails if you have any questions.

Ok riddle solved. First thing, I let it idle with the settings up to high and the bars got hot. Then I turned the settings off then up one tick and Shazam the light is green.

You'll be glad you've got that mod! I turn on my Yamaheater when I start the sled, and then usually end up low to mid factory settings for the remainder of the ride (that was my experience when it was 5 F during my last ride). That extra heat to get the bars warmed up from the get-go makes a world of difference.
