I have a clean cut in on of my rear outer cv boots on my 08 Grizzly 700 by the looks and feel of the grease I think it is clean and I can get by with a new boot and some grease. Does anyone have a good link or set of step by step directions to get that shaft out and replace the boot? Thanks for your help.

It's not that difficult to replace.
1) remove wheel and hub
2) pull the shaft out off the differential. Give it a good hard tug or use a pry bar to pop it out. I normally tip the bike away so the gear lube doesn't run out.
3) cut the steel clamps and boot. wipe most of the grease out of the joint.
4) remove the retaining ring located just inside the lip of the outer cup. Its similar to a snap ring and can easily be removed with a small screwdriver or pick.
5) pull the joint apart and wipe off old grease. Cleaning solvents are not recommended, just use a rag and get what you can.
6) slide the small clamp then the new boot over the shaft. If it's an aftermarket it probable will need trimmed to the right shaft diameter.
7) grease joint and cup. then slide the joint back into the cup, replace retaining ring and pack with grease.
8) install clamps. There are several styles of clamps, if you don't have a tool go to a local auto parts store. It's important that these clamps are tight.
9) inspect differential seal and sealing surface. If all ok, slide shaft back in. make sure the shaft locks into the differential.
10) inspect hub seals and wheel bearing. if ok, reassemble.
11) make sure bike is level then top off the differential lube.
