MY NEIGHBOR HAS A 06 APEX RTX. HE CALLED ME TODAY ASKING ME WHY THE INSIDE OF HIS BELT IS FRAYING. HE USES THE YAMAHA 8DN BELT BUT I DON,T KNOW IF ITS 00-OR 01. ALSO PLEASE SOMEBODY POST OFFSET SPEC FOR ME AND CENTER TO CENTER, ALSO ANY IDEA,S WHAT CAUSEING THIS. I KNOW, I NEED TO GET WITH THE TIMES, lol. I am STILL PLAYING WITH SRX,s AND VMAX 4,s. 3:16,

According to my '07 Apex GT manual, the center to center is aproximately 268.5 mm (10.57") & the offset is aproximately 15mm (0.59"). I would assume that it is the same for the '06 Apex RTX.

Fyi, when you type using all CAPS...it means you are YELLING. You dont have to YELL for people to listen. lol ;)! --And text in caps is hard to read.
 
I have an 06 RTX, and the belts last a looong time...has he had anything removed that might have misaligned something? Maybe it's a bad batch of belts...like dry rot or something. I wouldn't think a misalignment would eat the insides, or the lugs, unless this is not what you mean. I have had cords come out of the sides before. I just cut them and torched them a little and they lasted a long time.
 
haha i find it funny you welcome yammigod when he was here before you..anyways i think tonys keyboard is locked in caps. not sure if i ever seen him post without it...good luck to you.

I see now that you are correct that YAMIEGOD was here before me. I just looked at the 49 posts and the fact that he did not have a location (per site rules) and I assumed that he was new.

yammiegod is on other sled sites and is very well respected on them. he has always typed in caps. it does get annoying sometimes but oh well. lol it wouldnt be the same if he didnt :rocks: :jump:

you should have between 1mm-2mm sideplay on the secondary, if i remember right.

I locked the secondaries in position, and eliminated the 'slop' or built in play. This was on both 03 RX'1's. I did this mainly to help keep the tapered bearing from losing it's lock and sliding out. They didn't have the nut on the 03's. There were no belt wear issues from the sliding driven, as it centered itself.
