Yamaha will be offering some new GYT-R stiffer springs to fit the Mono-shock skids for aggresive riders looking for better anti-bottoming and handling. They will retail for $99.95. There will be options to fit the standard Mono skid (RTX/Apex ER) the Ohlins Mono (Apex GT) and the 136" Mono (Attak/Rage). As always mention our website discount when ordering these for your best price.

Is that just a nice way of saying you'll be able to take care of us, how shall I say, "plus-size" riders?

Best set one aside for me right away cuz I don't think I'll be losing 40 lbs. before the season no matter how much my customers chew my #*$&@.

I can stop the diet now :D
It really was not working anyway.
How can I get on of these springs for my attak????
Thanks
Scott

Do you know if there will be any option springs for the Nytro/Vector also? Thanks

I believe the GYT-R spring designed for the Apex ER/RTX model will work on the 05 RX-1 skid.

Hi Kevin,

Could you find out for sure if this spring will work on the 2005's? If so....order me one along with the Black Windshield.

Thanks.

I am checking into the ability of these springs to fit 05's - I believe they will being that the shocks are essentially the same between an 05 and an 06 Apex ER. The springs are not availble yet but should be this fall. If your interested in getting one of these give me a call and I will get you on the list and as soon as we get them I will get them to you. We also will have them on our website as soon as we can get our hands on some 06 accessory books and get them published onto our site as they will be in the catalog. They will be orderable off our site also.

As far as Vectors with Pro-Active suspensions go I know some people have been looking for heavier rear torsion springs. One option will be to upgrade to the Nytro set-up as far as the torsion springs are concerned. The Nytro springs are much stiffer than the Vector springs. At this point I believe it will cost roughly $200 for both the rear springs from a Nytro. I don't know at this point if they will be offering any other springs that are stiffer than the Nytro ones at this point. I may know more in a week or two.
