Have installed the 50-10 hammertime weights and primary spring.
The set-up was done per instructions that came with kit.(primary and secondaary)
Engagement was 1000 rpm too high(5000) added shoulder weight to bring it down to 4400.
Could only pull 9500 with secondary at 70 deg.
Have removed the secondary spring that came with kit(yellow) and reinstalled the OEM spring again at 70 deg. Have yet to test.

Any one with set-up help?? Need to shorten test and tune or I may miss what riding is left. Weather has turned south on us.

Thanks for reply.

Used Heelclickers on 03 RX-1 worked great.

Have ECP filter kit on sled. Works great. Had to lift needls one clip to get rid of a little hesatation. Air screws out 2.5 turns.

Have 3600 miles on Warrior, 1500 with ECP kit on. Happy so now I want to clutch then I amd going to drop one tooth on top gear. Sort of like to do one thing at a time to avoid confusion on results.

Installed Hammertimes Saturday (+7C in North Bay).
Engagement to high so added two washers at shoulder.

Will call this PM but will be about 9:00 PM EST. Reply if this is too late.

Just read Cubby"s RX-1 post and looked at picktures. Looks straight forward. Already have the hose as I ran my crank filter up to the steering post area. Found a soft 3/4 black hose product that looks better than heater hose.(Canadian Tire in Canada)

E-Mail or post the final clutching weights and locations for the Hammertime weights and all will be great.

Finally caught up with Randy at Supper Torquer.

50-10 is what he recommends. They are shipping me different primary spring than what came with the kit. (140-400 was 170-300)Also removing centre 3gm weight.

My engagement will me down below 4400 and I should get my shift out back to 10200. (was down to 9500 with kit).

Will then tune for engagement at 4000 and #*$&@ out 10500. May try 10700 with the air kit and crank evac. working well.

I WAS THE ONE WHO GOT RANDY TO GO FOR THE BLK SPRING IN HIS KIT
WHICH HELPS A LOT
BUT ITS STILL NOT GONNA PULL 10700 UP TOP-BEEN THERE DONE THAT
I TOLD RANDY ABOUT THIS AND HAVE HAD A LOT OF INPUT ON THIS
I BELIEVE THE 40/10 ARE WAYYYY BETTER WITH THE ECP KIT
PLUS A LOWER ENGAGEMENT

40-10 arms are already returned.

I hate spending time trying to make round wheels.

As soon as new black spring arrives I will load shoulder, remove centre weight and give it a spin.

Any comments or short-cuts appreciated. Have a shaved track on Lake Nippissing but it requires trailering then back to shop.

Do play in powder on occasion so I to want to keep engagement low as well.

water boy-
you wont be able to lighten it enough to get the needed rpm with the 50/10-
what you cant do with the 50/10 setup is load the "hammer " with a ton of weight because it will drag down top rpm-the 10 gram diff in the 40 and 50 weights can be added to the hammer on the 40 so the belt wont slip at lower ratio-you will see that the belt slips at lower speeds and on takeoff-youll probably smell it
your shift rpm at wide open from a standing start should be 10700-10800
that max hp with ecp kit silver springs 165 jets and evac kit
for drag racing thats the setup--by the way what helix/secondary are you using?

Dynarex

Exactly why I called Randy. Lost top end, engagement to high and slippage with recommended set-up.
Going to call and have 40-10s returned. I had not yet installed them when I received the 50-10 weights and instructions to return the 40-10s
The secondary has stock helix and yellow spring that came with kit and is wound to 70 deg.

Still have not received the new black spring so I will probably go back to stock parts tonight until I Have everything in my hands. Riding the next 2 weekends in Quebec then that will probably end season.

Going to be setting up for 1/8 ashphalt (Northern Show Me The Money Tour).

Stock set-up was pulling 10-2 prior to ECP kit and EVAC set-up. Had no major slippage problems on "snow" but will require more belt pressure for ashphalt.

Ihave a stage 2 kit in my Warrior and it does not out perform the stock
clutch. Put your stock clutch back in and stick a RX1 mountain
spring in your primary. This is really a short cut and will save you
$400.00. You might want to remove #2 rivit. You should be close
to 10500 rpms if you want to rock and roll.
good luck.

1BABAD1,

Did you get the kit from Jeff or myself. Either way, something is wrong if you kit isnt working. Please give me or Jeff a call and we would be happy to go over it with you. Please call, we want you happy...BBY

Called MATT at the speed shop. Just wanted to Thank You in public.
I tried calling you back Saturday, no answer.
Your set up helped the Warrior. I do have extra CPR items left.
It stays at 10200 all the time. That is a mafor imprvement.
I will need to talk to you. I'll call you Monday.
I'll let you other guys know . Dave Kast

Dave,

Glad to hear its working. 99% of the Stage II kits didnt require any additional tuning over the way we set them up. There are so many variables to take into consideration when developing/recommending clutching optiions for any model. As always, all Simons CPR or Speedshop customer are always welcome to call for troubleshooting, different setups...etc. Based on the RPM variance you were seeing, and that a new secondary spring change took care of the problem, Jeff and My thoughts are that there may have been a variance in your clutches or perhaps your spring has a problem, that this was creating an inconsistancy we havent seen in other clutches. Im glad you are running well. Call anytime 715-342-1399
