Oh cool! I was hoping to get a new Hand Guard thread going.
Since I want LED lighted, I got it down to 2 choices.
-Powermadd Sentinel w/Hayes Brackets and LED light kit.
-Cat Procross LED hand Guards - Black -- Cat Part # 7639-770
Cats are about $40 more then the Powermadd, but I like the procross better as they have a nicer looking mount bracket IMO then the powermadd hayes brackets...But both are very nice.
Last season the Procross LEDs had some issues and were recalled, but I believe they are all good to go now, I see the LED parts in the procross kit are the exact same as the LED parts in my DOO signature guards I had last yr, and they worked flawless.
I will add DOO mirrors to procross gaurds, but it will take some custom modding to do it. But Im not a huge fan of the massive mirrors that are available for the Sentinel. And also will have to do some custom work to cover up the "arctic cat" embedded into the arms.
Lots of guys here with pics of sentinels and they look great, I guess I want to be different as I have used the powermadds on a few sleds before, just want to try something new now.
Last winter I saw 2 cats at the races, both had new procross guards and I talked alot with the guy, they really looked so nice in person. The brackets are much like the DOO brackets, just more sleek then the metal mounts Powermadd uses with there bolts and nuts and plastic spacers to adjust them ect....

I really like the larger mirrors on the sentinel guards. The Doo mirrors are so small I can't see a thing behind me.

I just need to see headlight, which is easy. But ive been using that size gaurd mirror since 06 now and very used to it.
Larger ones are better if you want to see much more for sure though.
Im gonna use the ones Im used to, and have to make a special attachment, I did this last yr on our Qc trip to the poo I took on trip as I was worried about Qc law.

I have power madd sentinels with mirrors. They look great but I can't see much in the mirrors. They make things look so far away my old 54 year eyes barely see headlights. I stick to trails so branches aren't really an issue. They don't do anything for blocking wind.

I took off my white/blue Sentinels with led's, mirrors & proper Sidewinder brackets. Thinking about selling them. I put medium windshield on so they looked stupid behind it

Handguards and medium shields are ok. It's the LEDs on the handguards behind the medium shields that make you look like an evil genius hovering over the snow at 80 mph. Of course at my age it makes reading the map or GPS at night easier.

Let the headlight light , and the hand guards guard !!!!
