hand guards

I agree with medium or taller, the LEDs will reflect light on backside, not good IMO.

I have stock LOW, and ordered a SE window too., for me that is high. I HATE having anything in front of my vision. Its an OCD thing, hate the distorted view. So i like guards and lower windows as a rule for many many yrs.

Powermadd Sentinel's with mirrors, led's and armor. Not the best pix but better than nothing. The armor does make the guards huge but does a nice job at blocking the wind. It also blocks part of the mirror, but does not block your vision.

Coldguards are the best FUNCTIONAL handguards I have ever tried.

I have the hand guards that came stock on the fx Nytro Found them to be the most protection from the wind and they are a Yamaha OEM part and the same mounts as the handlebar mounted mirrors. I bought the mirror kit and the just the replacement petals for the nytro and used the mounting hardware for the mirrors. The only weak point is the plastic piece that the mirrors screw into I replaced them with steel ones I fabed up.I have moved this set up from sled to sled going back to my 07 apex I love it. I now have added a blue led light pod on the guards and I like that I got to pick where the lights are. I have them set to shine on the spindles and the skis. looks really nice and the don't hit my windy

See my post last year about the sentinels... they are modular... you can add three led kit obviously which is surprisingly bright... but in addition they sell armor which kinda makes them a cold guard if you know what i mean.... definitely blocks the wind... and look out this year for one of my ideas i gave them... it will be a cold gauntlet which attaches and goes over the sentinel... but has a clear panel for the leds to shine through! In addition the function and size of the mirror is far superior..

I like the semi rigid myself. They are easily swapped out for the skidoo muffs when it gets frigid.
