Handle bar riser

What is the tallest riser anyone has used with the stock cables.

I'm installing a 2 incher tonight. I was told you can go 3 inch but would be pushing it.

See Dan even BBY says that anthing over a 1.5 puts tension on the cable.. 3inchers would be near impossible!

I cut my 2 incher down to 1.25

I made an installed a 1.5 inch riser last year and had plenty of cable length when turning the bars. 2 inch riser should be fine.

I put a 2" on my 05RX1 and it seems ok, have not ridden yet but started it and turned bars both ways and no problems. I don't think 3" would make it, it was almost getting tight with the 2".

Have a 2 inch on my 04. Works fine, just make sure nothing is hanging up. I had them put a 4 inch that I had bought on my 05. They ordered mountain cables for it.

I just installed a 2 inch riser and when I turn all the way right the throttle cable tightens up and yanks on the carbs giving it a little gas. I may try to re-route the cable under the bars instead of over.

Spend the $18 and get the mountain cable. Then get yourself a 3" riser

I have a 3". Re-routed the brake line and e-brake cable. The longer throttle cable is worth it.

Yep, I just confirmed that the mountain cable is needed on my sled :ORC
