NO help here guys! On both of our practice sleds the hand warmers work very well.
ours have heat at an idle I run with them on 2 clicks from full at first then after about a minute press the button twice to turn them off or once more to keep just a little heat in the bars for the ride. Sorry I can't help!! (just pointing out that SOME of them work good on our FX Nytros)

It starts to make me wonder what good reporting our problems does? It has been 3 model years with HORRIBLE hand warmers and yet no solution or suggestions from Yamaha. I rode a 98 Vmax this weekend and the warmers get too hot when turned up.
Why are we reporting problems and getting no solutions except the solutions that TY guys come up with on their own, or having to spend $40 like I did to get HeatLoc's. Three years was more then enough time to develop a solution.

You would think by now they would have this figured out. If I was in charge I would put my best guys on the problem and have it fixed in a week. I think its arrogance myself.

TTT for some brainstorming ! Again, anyone know the proper resistance that the bars should be reading ? 2-3 ohms or 6-7 ohms ???

I watched my tach on a tight ORV trail going 10-15 mph and even at that speed it hardely ever dropped below 4500 so I dont think this 4500 rpm cutoff is really the problem IMO
