I have on 06 apex with the updated bars,It get hot only when above 6000rpms on trail, otherwise nothing, dealer suggested modifying wiring to bars, if so how? :4STroke:

Rocker Dan has some good reading here
I got to say that because I am part of the management team that there is some risk of burning up your ECU....however I would say more than 50 guys have done this with not a single failure....other options are taller windshield, handguards, guantlets

to do the following you will need your original 06 bars

I checked resistance on boths sets of bars,06 bars at 2.6 per side,07 bars at 6.9 a side, ran 06 bars with harness for series, vola heat on hands before warm up light goes out. THANKS GUYS (so what do I do with the bars yammie charged me 100 for?

i just did the same on mine. everyone says keep them under half and you should be fine, nice to feel heat on them already at idle :jump:
from what i been hearing the nytro warmers suck to. i took out my 06 venture and they are awesome warmers.

I just took my first ride with the new bar mods from previous posts. Put rubber washers between the hooks and bars (for '06 only) and then spray foamed the bars.
It was 10 F and for the first time I had to turn the warmers down. I had my 4 yr. old daughter with me so I was putting up and down the river about 20 - 40mph and these things were cooking my hands. I went out later by myself going a whole lot faster and they might have got a little warmer.
Thank you everyone for your experimentaion efforts.
