Over the summer, I installed the loose steering fix in the front end and also installed the oft steering block fix.
Now, with the first ride of the trails this year, I notice that the steering is really stiff. I mean border line dangerous......How can I reduce this hard steering without giving up too much cornering? I had moved the limiter strap up one hole before I did this fix and have now moved it back one set of holes, which made it better, but wondering if I may still have too much pressure on the skis.
My center shock is threaded about 3/4 of the way up the threads and I am running 80lbs of pressure in my Fox Floats.....
Ideas anyone?
Thanks!

Did you over-tighten the OFT block? When I installed mine I tightened it too much and it was very hard to steer. I can't remember the torque setting but it was pretty low. When I loosened it and torqued it properly the steering loosened up.

That may be the case! I will have to check that, I guess. Taking it out tomorrow on the trails to see how much it changed by loosing the strap on hole. Hopefully it is better and not back to pushing in the corners. Thanks for the tip.....anyone else with this problem or ideas?

maybe air up the shocks more to get the ride more even. (less weight on the nose).
i did this but in addition to removing swaybar & loosening limiter strap. had too much ski bite.

i have it set up the way i like it but could go even less ski bite possibly. i have 6" shaper bars now & will try regular carbides when needing replacements.

You can check the sticky at the top of the page andd find the torqe spec. I just installed my oft block and tourqued to spec and it is just perfectly snug.

Did you try getting the front of the sled off the ground and check to see if anything is binding?

Try backing off the nuts on the steering block a touch where you installed upbushmans kit. I had mine too tight at first and that fixed mine.

When mine is off the ground there is some resistance when moving the skis side to side but it is not noticeable on the trail. How freely should it move? I know that is difficult to judge/measure though.
