By the way, thanks to Spray and Convert for the compliments on my install. I happen to like it and have learned from a wise older man (my dad) to take criticism directed at me with a grain of salt. I read what SrXeXtReEm said at 5:00 am and it was like water of a ducks back. I just had to reply when he spouted off back at you (Spray) when you said something. Like I said in my first thread it is a durability choice not a price thing for me.

You're welcome. It's good and heavy duty, get's the job done and as I said early it does it at a good price. Some guys go for looks, some go for function. Some are good at expressing themselves, some are not.

IT TURNS the water off too the carbs to make them cooler to run on hot days and you would only need them on realy cold days so the carbs dont ice up...
its a safty thing more then anything...

The electric heat heats the carbs until coolant is up to 86 F. The coolant shut off blocks warm coolant from reaching the carbs. I work at an oil refinery (ConocoPhillips) and happen to know the ingredients of gasoline NC4 (Normal Butane) is a key ingrediant in low and mid grade gasoline and all grades shipped to high altitude areas. With a very low boiling point (it will boil to vapor if released to atmospheric pressure even in sub freezing 32 F weather) and a high vapor pressure once you shut your motor off the NC4 goes from its blended liquid state to vapor causing a partial vapor lock resulting in hard starting. The shut off valve helps reduce this along with flippng that rubber cover forward.

Honk do you have a shortie? I didn't have much of a problem with it starting till I got the new deeper float bowls on my mountain. Not sure why, but it was a bearcat after that.

JIM im sorry you took it to hart . i very picky when it comes to sleds the way they look . maby i should not said anything at the time but that is me i react faster then i think ... life gose on ...
but if yamaha would have put somthing like that on the sleds . the 1st thing 99% of you would have done is say wtf is that . or why could they have not put somthing nicer ... but anyways its done now cant change what i said......

Yeah, I am known for going around this sight bashing you and so many others. :roll: NOT! You are right this is going no where. You do not show common respect for most people on this site and it is unlikely you will start.

Marc, I didn't take it to heart. Like I said; I read your comments earlier this morning and didn't say anything. But had to say something when you jumped Ray for deffending my install. Like I stated had it not been a concern of the plastic shut off breaking if I rold the sled, then I would have persued that route. By the way I read your compliment on my sled in the windshield topic. Again, I say thanks :wink:
