Here is one of many.

found another with pics of the pickup coil & stator specs, also some instructions for checking the crankshaft position sensor...

Hope that helps alittle

well messured the pick up and stator and got 496 from pick up and first 0.4 from stator but that was a cheap tool like walmart quality so tried one at my local yamahadealer and one at home and got 0.2 when it stopped, so in range on both it seam.
but none of them could give me the last number 0.0* so gonna take it to my uncle for a exact reading since he drives a electrical company.
But as it seams as the numbers hold up.
So what then, checked fuel part, mechanical part, at least by my book.

Oh by the way had it dripping coolant and it looks like it was to much in the resovair and it pressing it out, didnt get more like 1dl in and it was full, did see alot of steam around the stearing colum as described in other threads and starting to peal of part by part and come to that its vapor from the tunnel when building moisture and the exhaust warming up the tunnel it looks like the only way for the steam to go is in front of the tank and up at the steering column.
Note:it has done this for years and after a while you can fill it up with 4-6dl but thats all it takes and run good with it for years. To much with boost i suppose.

is this worth replacing with ?

running out little of time but im afraid that a yamahadealer in sweden would take problably between 4-6000:- that is like 6-900$ and dont wonna chance if its not that,,
damn this is draining energy instead of just riding.

0.20 on all 3. And the electrian said that it only charge the battery and that he had sleds running home on only bigger battery.so Thats not My problem

So went through all wires and found nothing, did do take of sledstart if anyone is interested.
But found fault code 14 in the system wich is air pressure sensor. did take it of and cleaned and deleted codes and started up, no codes after that.
but in diagnostic code 24 for throttle switch it says on, shouldnt that be of when im not applying throttle? the code 1 for throttle angle are fine 16-98 so its not the wire pulling. or am im missing something
Or is it on because i have disconected TORS ?

well had a long run yesterday with with about 93miles "150km" in 3,2fahrenheit "-16c" and it ran like a champion except for the two things mentioned.
It stutters if i come of the trail and giv it wot sometimes, like in 0.5bar and then passes it and its all fine..
but if roll on the boost and then go all out no problem.
Let the sled sit for like a 1hour at the cabine in the cold but was surprised when it was really hard to get started, just like it comes on 2 cyl wich i can hear and see the sensor showing 10 so really fat then and need to hold like a half of throttle to the plugs wake to life.
The same after we had lunch at a restuarant like an hour, have in mind both time had the sled been sitting for an hour in -16c 3.200fahrenheit so it should be cold.
my idea is to mesure the ignition coils and the tps, if that dont work call Erik at Mcxpress and take the sled to them.
any pointers?

Seem to me that we almost have the same problem. I have change my tps. Check"t the coils. Spark plugs. Ecu. Temp sensor. Injectors. Fuel pressure ++. Have adjust the co down to 25. Its fine at idle then. Wats your af value?

Master
At idle my A/F are fine and for the most Times at all throttle angels, but Believe sometimes its of by going more fat, but putting it on mcx benchmarker Will tell.

So its set, Friday me and my sled will be at mcx

Update from mcx, they disapering coolant was a blown headgasket. Now lets see what cause it to be hard to start!

And the ECU gave wrong pressure signal, gonna be fun trying Tomorrow.

Why did the ecu give wrong signal?vmax4ever said:And the ECU gave wrong pressure signal, gonna be fun trying Tomorrow.
