I've been riding My Wife's FX Nytro around and noticed the front end feels very light and when exiting a turn if you hit the throttle a little too soon the front skis come up quickly. Have any of you shortened the front strap to keep the front end down and how did it effect the steering? She rode it today and didn't think it was a problem but felt she needed to get used to the quick throttle and the instant deacceleration of the 4 stroke engine. She would prefere to wait till the riding conditions get better before doing any adjustments. We also had her 05 Rev out with it so she could jump from one to the other. She felt the Nytro was by far the most comfortable sled shes ever had and alot less cramped than her Rev. She also noted that the seating position was higher on the Nytro but it didn't feel at all tippy. She did say that her 600 SDI Rev felt smoother and she thought that was due to the mild nature of its engine. My gut feeling is that if you shorten the front strap the front end should stay on the ground better even if you happen to grab a handfull of throttle exiting a turn. I would also prefere if one of you guys tried it first and let Me know how it works so I won't have to. ;)! :jump:

Adjusting it 2 holes is real close to perfect for me. It's a balance between traction and steering and HELP weight transfer... BUT my rear skid, heck the whole sled, is a long ways away from the way it came from the crate....

Start with one but my guess is you'll end up at two....

I raised mine two hole and I think it helped some but it still has alot of weight transfer . My problem is I like the weight transfer for ditch banging it is real easy to lift the front over the big holes and junk on the trails . But it does hurt cornering . I found if I slowly roll the throttle on out of the corners it helps keep the skis down .I am going to find a set or make a set of coupler blocks that are thicker than stock but not as thick as the ones I tried off my F-8 . The ones off my F-8 would keep the skis down but I didnt think they gave me enough weight transfer . For someone who dosent want any ski lift under throttle they work good.

down one spot......better, but not great yet. I made a few to many changes at the same time, gonna back track a bit and start again.

Tighten 2 holes gets it pretty good. Been fine tuning it from there with adjustable transfer blocks.

Will this help for off trail riding as well ? I'm always bangin around and hitting drifts and powder, groomed trail riding is just not my thing. (no offense to the flatlanders)

I did 90 miles of ditch banging/brush riding yesterday and I think just tightening the limiter strap 1 hole will be enough for that type of riding, made the front end still float & transfer was good, but it gave you more control when on the throttle and trying to manuever.

1 hole is not enough for the guys I rode with this weekend. Go 2
