Has anybody rode an Airwave?

I'm looking to get the best ride possible on a Yamaha. There are some pretty good deals right now on 2010 Vector LTX GT's so I am thinking of trading my 05 Vector but would I get an even better ride by installing an Airwave under the 05? I already have the Apex seat and riser and I love the seating position I just want a better rear suspension. Anybody have real experience with one?

Thanks

I put one in my '06 Attak, the ride was superior to stock in every condition. But it does not transfer weight nearly as much as the mono did, you will lose some mph on top end (if you care, I didn't). I had the on board air compressor, quite easy to adjust on the fly, plus mine had the Assault center shock.

I put a M-10 on my 05 Vector and it just might be the best trail sled ever made. The ride is fantastic under all conditions. ANYTHING is an improvement over the stock 05 skid.

How many miles do you have on the sled?

I put the airwave in my 2004 RX1 short track and I can tell you it was the best up-grade I've ever done. The ride is the best. The small stutter bumps are non-exsistant and the larger bumps ( 12" to 24" bumps ) are handled with ease. If you want the best ride, than you want the Airwave.

Thanks guys. I have 7000 miles on it and I was thinking of trading but with the mods I've done I really like it and was wondering if this sled with an Airwave would be a better ride than a new 2010 Vector LTX? If so maybe the cam tensioner and skid are in my future.

I put one on my wife's 05 Vec and she loved it. Then she went to a 08 Vec LTX GT which she also likes. The airwave rides great with good adjustability via the onboard compressor.
I still have the airwave in my garage if you are interested pm me.
