If you're walking or cross-country skiing or something on the snowmobile trail on your land, its important to have advanced warning that sleds are coming so that you can get the hell off the trail.
You feel this way because you love this sport....if you were the traditional land owner....the "waa-waa" of a stingered arctic cat at midnight would piss you off to no end...and therefore a new Michigan law ..just looking for a non stock exhaust...
get ready Michigan for checkpoints!

Has nothing to do with that. Has to do with not being run down.

I guess I can see your point...if youre out on the trail cross country skiing with ur ipod on and a quiet machine comes ...u might not even hear it...but then again if your jamming out...you might not hear the louder one too... are you saying you cant hear the quietest ones coming with enough advance notice?

I let my buddy take my Apex with stock exhaust for a rip down the trail a ways and back while I waited.
Trust me, you can hear a stock Apex from quite a long distance coming at you on the trail.

- None, looking now!
As I understand all points, this thread has gotten a bit off topic. Post if you have gotten a ticket or not with a Excell exhaust.
