Has anyone raced an 800r?

Haven't ran against an XP yet, but I just finished installing the Intense track on my RTX, and OH MY GOD, what a difference it made with this track on the sled ! I'm only running on 6 inches of fresh snow, and my lawn is taking a beating, but this sled feels quite a bit more powerful now. Yamaha should take note and have this track available on the RTX model, or on any FX Nytro for that matter, have it available as an upgrade for EDPs. Also, PLEASE, PLEASE YAMAHA, for those who don't want the front exchanger protectors, have it available as an option to not have these installed ! That area is one #$%&* to get around with any cutting tool, it's not a fun job for the guys removing these in their own garage. Anyway, do yourselves a favour guys and get the Intense 1.5 track for this sled, you'll be happy you did ! ;)!

IMO its not the carbides its the ski lift "nervous feeling" I have a few changes im going to make but wont be able to test till next week maybe. Basically just playing with the limiter straps then trying to make everything come together with the rear shocks, change the angle of the sled. Not sure if it will work but as long as I know stock settings I can alwasys go back. A rider forward sled seems to want to "roll" altot more than a conventional chasis because we are sitting up higher

Just posting to see if anyone can help me with my problem in the corners way too much bite.

96 studs
8" woody pro carbides
rear spring set on med

For Wheelies this is the set up, for cornering it is not? Just wondering if someone can give me a little advise?

Tried to set up a race on Tug Hill over on Dootalk with this Skidoo loyal guy named Machzx28. Im just sick of this guy always picking me out because I ride a Yamaha. Posted it right on there for everyone to see offered him any conditions, any day, dark or light and I would keep my sled completely stock and start backwards. Guess what he wouldnt do it! Said that he only does 300 mile loops in Canada. Canada would be nice but the Nytro and 800X are ditch bangers meant to be put through hell. If I wanted a sled to be ridden on a snowmobile highway I would of bought an Apex. Nothing wrong with the Apex but its meant more for lake and smooth trails. Im just glad all his fellow Dootalkers saw what a p---y this guy was. I also know he comes and poaches on TY so I hope he sees this! The Nytro is the perfect sled for Tug Hill you rarely have enough straigts to get above 90 and it has that 800XP covered to that speed it is a true Doo Killer.

You know thru my years of riding and being on the websites I have to say that most doo guys are some of the hardest to get along with. Now I sometimes like to see what some people will actually argue about so I stir the pot alittle. They seem to have a "im better than you attitude" and as you all know, nobody is better than me lol

i was not going to reply to you but you clearly have a big ego first you are bashing DOO for the past 2-3 month and telling DOO guys what pos they are riding

then you switch brands to yammi and still came to DOO talk to bash and do not like it when you get called out and now you you want me to come to tug hill to to ride around in a circles all day when you are the one trying to prove you are better ride and you have a better sled

and i told you i have nothing to prove because i was not the one bashing ski-doo or yammi that you were trying to justify what you bought and you were more then welcome to come up to st zenon and we would take you on a 300 mile trip

but now you are telling every body that the nytro and xp are not made to ride in Canada and now you are bashing me on T.Y that shows me what kind of guy you really are and why would i waste my time and give up a weekend in Canada to meet you.

there are a lot of guys who belong to both website and add good positive comment those are the guys you like to meet on the trails and ride with

Come on guys "Can't we all get along!!!!!" I posted this for real world results and now the bashing should stop Scott8888 you are new to this forum and so am I and we should tread lightly. I belong to both DooTalk and this sight. I like info and tech tips. I am not here to bash anyone nor should you. Just ride and have fun thats what it is all about. As for racing it also should always be done in fun, when the fun disapears it is time to hang it up! :jump: :-o

:ORCBasically I just gave you any option you wanted to make it even so I said I would start BACKWARDS to give YOU the advantage. I dont need to prove anything to myself I already know. I dont have an ego im just confident. You along with everyone else knows an 800XP will pull a Nytro after 90. I said take it the trails what these sleds were built for not a thruway. Bumps, ditches and just plain junk. I even offered for you to pick any condition you would like and night or day. Yeah your right after my ski-doo dealer told me I made the right decision to switch because Doo shouldnt of released the XP till 09 I know I made the right choice. You choose to back out I was all in. Why dont you come to the Hill and I hopefully will be going to St.Zenon the week between X-mas and New Years. I dont mean for this to continue but you intensionally pick every post I make and quote it even if its my opinion and not a bash. Like I have already told you I ride with all 800XP X in real conditions what the sleds were built for. I like to sweat when I ride and beat the hell outa my sleds thats what they are for. You refuse to come to the Hill because you have a place in Canada well WE have a place in Redfield for the season you dont here me crying about going somplace else! If you cant put your actions where your mouth is then you should just go to dootalk and stay quiet! You had the options and you backed out plain and simple and you made that obvious on Dootalk :yam:

it off 131 just before you get into st zenon it about 10 miles in off of 131.and we also find a lot of ungroom local trail that are one sled wide that will make you feel right at home

one thing i left out if you think riding at those speed are boring it get mighty cold when the sun goes down and you will really enjoy riding at those speed at night in Canada when sometimes it dip down to -40 it get to be a lot of fun and you still have 6 hour back to the cabin

I thought at night riding in Canada was for going to strip clubs and drinking booze after done riding for the day. I snowmobile to keep me inshape for MX not to freeze. Considering tne Nytro has absolutely no wind protection I dont know about that -40 stuff
