I thought at night riding in Canada was for going to strip clubs and drinking booze after done riding for the day. I snowmobile to keep me inshape for MX not to freeze. Considering tne Nytro has absolutely no wind protection I dont know about that -40 stuff

strip club are nice but leave that to home you spend time in strip club in Canada when you come out your sled most likely will be gone or wose yet your tuck

the two of you need to give it a break. take it to the private messages because you have officially hijacked this thread. do not go on dootalk and talk #*$&@, then come back here and brag about it, we do not want them coming over here to do the same. :ORC

Thank you redsnake. This is supposed to be has any one raced an 800r? Not warmth or strip clubs? If I wanted these in this forum I would have stated it. PLEASE KEEP ON THE TOPIC OF THE THIS TREAD! Thank you Scottydog1. Now has anyone actually raced an 800R? :4STroke:

I have not raced one. But I have 2 buddy's who are brother's in-law. One owns a new 800R renegade and the other owns a new 600 renegade and a std. FX Nytro. Talked to My buddy with the 800R yesterday. He said the 800R and Nytro come out of the hole very close and the 800R walks/pulls away the rest of the race. Sorry it's not a first hand account but these are a couple of good guys and I know they lined them up fair.

By the way both sleds are studded.

Myself & a relative(cousin) raced a few times.both brand new sleds & 0 miles. I was able to out pull him & stay ahead.(not by much) However I was studed & he wasnt, also his sled requires 10 hrs( i think) before the timing advances. I think the only reason I was able to beat him was because his sled needs to burn the chip out. I'll give another report after this weekend, I do expect my nytro to give his 800r a good run ,I re- geared it since the last time we lined them up for more top end.

what gears are you using? can you use existing chain? let us know the results. I raced an 800 xp gade with pics afew times for about 1/8 mile not even close, he probably would have caught me at 1/4 mile but we'll see when we have more room. we both have about 200 miles on the sleds

I'm currently running 22/38 stock is 21/39, it gained over 5 mph & maybe more with good conditions. I should know more this coming weekend on results from the nytro vs 800r, I still feel I can go with another tooth on top which should add to the mph.I'll be trying that next week to see if the clutching/engine can handle that much gear.

I knew this sled was the real deal. When we run them 800r's if we get the jump which I can't see how you wouldn't (unless of course you are spinning) the R doesn't have the weight transfer the Nitro's have and you should win the 660 every time. Now with your new gears I hope losing on the bottom end wont hurt your end result. Awsome post keep us updated. Some Vids would awsome!!!!

Bottom end doesn't seemed to have changed much,(seat of the pants feel ),Now I just need to get the rear skid to transfer more, I dont weight much so it spins at times,I'm gonna play with the tranfer stoppers at the back.

How much do you weigh. I weigh 230 lbs I had my rear spring tension set @ high on the rear shock and stood on the back of the running boards. The sled took off very good, but I couldn't get the ski's to dance the distance. Then I set it on medium and man what a differance. I would run the same way (seating position) then when I took off, the ski's came off the ground approx 2 ft,. When then the secondary kicked in and now I was looking @ the sky. I ran it again and set myself not so far back on the running boards and the sled would pull the ski's approx 1 ft the secondary kicked in and would pull it up approx another foot. I leaned a little forward and the ski's danced to the finish line like she should. I drag quite a bit with my 05 Warrior and now the Nitro. Your body movement while dragging is key for hook up and acceleration @ least with the set up I have. Good luck with the 800R. I am still waiting on Pete? :flag: Oh yeah all the other settings are still from factory.

Still waiting on people that have actually run them? We have plenty of snow on the trails in Maine, now I need to find one to run with. MNM is the only one I have that lives close to me. We have been talking between the (2) forums and he has not run a Nytro w/ his XP800R? Being the (2)most talked about sleds. I thought I would see some results. I guess there are still a pile of people waiting on there new Doo's? :4STroke: I set up mine for handling here's what I did. I weigh 230 lbs 96 picks down the ctr, Rear spring set to med 8" woody pro carbides (stock ski's), Softened the front clickers to the low end approx 4 clicks from the bottom and brought my limiter strap down (1) hole from stock. She handles like it is on rails now. I just had to learn to drive a rider forward machine and now I have it down! These sleds aren't too far off from stock @ least the FX isn't, the RTX on the other hand? :-o

I ran my buddies 800xp this weekend pretty much dead even out of hole andfrom roll till 90 when sled runs out of gear but pulled buddies 600rs home 2nd weekend in a row with blown motor trying 2 hang with the 4 strokes
