has anyone ridden their 03 mtn. after float bowl replacement

great thanks,,,, i have them sitting on the bench now,,,, just wanted to know if they would really work or not.... LMAO..

took a long time to get it where i liked it and didnt want to start over for nothing

Not that you needed anymore feedback, but yes it fixed the prob for me.

I was under the impression that the float bowls were a free update for those who've had problems. Some one I know is taking his in to my same dealer for the update, but says they are charging him. I am also getting ready to do mine, but would like to know:

Are the rest of you guys getting charged :?:

If so, How Much :?: (separate parts and labor if possible)

yep it should be free of charge for you
Yamaha actually pays the dealer to do it for you along with rivets in rear tunnel hood fix and some reinforcement also in rear of the tunnle i think
how many did the f7 get last year i think it was 13 service bulletines and it was some serios to i remember oilpump yeeeks i feel so lucky not buying that sled

Had mine done. freebie at Michaels Reno. Almost killed me too of all places, on a sharp incline the sled cut out and I immedeatly turned to the down slope, sled stopped and I went flying through the windshield. You better watch the bolt they placed on the rear tunnel reinforcement, it was 1/16 away from the sides of the track, I cut it down flush to the nut. Boy I tell you, you always have double check everything. I can tell you more but I'll fill up this forum.

Tahoe,

Did you see how close one of the chaincase bolts is to the edge of the track? I put a spacer in there to give it more room.

kmer,

Hi, they replaced a couple of rivets ( one on each side ) towards the rear suspention mounting bracket with a nut and bolt. They used too long of a bolt that it was almost touching the edges of the track. Good thing I looked underneath to check on their work and sure enough another idiotic mistake, I'm just suprised they did'nt drill a hole through the track while they at it.

rep,

Technical bulletin # S 2003 001 Loose rear suspention mounting bracket rivets.
