has anyone seen the electronic Olin Mono Shock??

Has anyone looked under accessories on the Yammi site for the 05 RX1. Under the shock section they have a electronic Olin Mono Shock. I wonder if this thing hooks up to the handlebar for even easier rebound adjustment???

Is that just for the mono-shock? or can it be used in the pro-action suspension also?

A Canadian dealer told me that it was an option on the new 05 Rx and that you would be able to make the adjustments from the handle bars

My concern would be the wiring harness. I have sold and installed 2 M10 ACE suspensions, also worked on the Polaris version there are problems with ice in the skid gripping the harness and ripping it apart. IMHO I don't need wires coming out of the skidframe, as convienent as it would be.

Ya I think the mechanical adjuster will work just fine 8) BUT adding a Ohlin shock would be SWEEET :shock: :shock:

As long as the wires are properly protected inside a stainless braided and rubberized tube, and fastened SECURELY, then ice shouldn't be any problem.

It can't be that much more of a problem than the stock cable as it looks really flimsy, surprised they did not go with a braided cable. Wonder if they give any credit if you order it with sled?

From what i know It is not certin yet what will be done with the electric ohlin and it was not supose to be in the book but they are looking in to it and will likley be available. Yes it will be $$ and i am guessing it will be for the vector as the RX already has the remote adjust.

It will NOT be for the vector since vector has a torsion spring suspension which is totally incompatible with it.

I was told by one of the people directly involved with the project that if they use it, It will be available for the vector and i am quite sure Ohlin's can be set up for coil over or torsion. Blair Morgan run's Ohlin's on his REV's and i am quite sure they are torsion sprung. If Yamaha put's together a kit they wil likley sell more of them for the vector than the RX as the RX already has remote adjust and no one will spend the $$ to move from the tunnel to the bar's IMO.

In the Port Yamaha 05 catalogue it says " for 05 RX1" does not mention Vector.

I have the 05 Yamaha snomobile catalog in front of me, It has no aplication's listed at all. I had an in depth conversation with a Yamaha tecnical coordinator yester day and it is all undecided at this point and was not suposed to have been in the catalog.
