not sure if anyone has tried installing the torsion springs from a Nytro on an Apex xtx. I see the nytro's are a lighter spring so wondering if they would fit. I would think it would soften it up. just wondering if anyone has had an experience doing this.

much appreciated

I'm dead certain Maim did just that. Hopefully he'll chime in.

yes i have done it. replied in your pm sgauthier. i can post it out here if others want to know too.

i used the 2009 nitro xtx springs in my apex xtx. the part #'s i used are for the 1200nm springs (8hl-47473-00-00, 8hl-47474-00-00) as my sled came with the 1500nm springs. i used sr viper 4 position billit spring adjusters on setting 4 and it rode way better than with the heavy stock springs. i still had a bit of sticking in the travel so i have modded it a bit since with the 5 position muffin works adjuster and a set of hygear torsion spring spacers with a shock refresh. the shock was out of gas so i had no choice. the hygear spacers fixed the sticking i had and it now rides very well with the clicker set to middle and springs on #4. i wanted the 5 position so that it i loaded the rack or pull a seligh i could turn it up that extra bit. the spring part # are the same for both sleds.

never tried the star kit but i like how this works.

I have some 1200 springs here if anyone needs a set.

I have the Star Kit and it made a great improvement in the rear suspension. I think that uncoupling helps that. I still would like to go softer in the rear so that I have some adjustability. I am not a ditch banger.
What are the rear spring part numbers for the stock Apex XTX?
I am thinking of changing to a softer spring, but I don't want to purchase the wrong spring.

These are the lighter springs... I've done the star kit and still want more adjustability... Going to order the 1200 springs, hygear spacers, stars 5 space adjuster & shock revalve

That's part # is the optional spring listed on the microfiche for the 2011 apex but there is no spring rate listed. the 1200 spring part # listed for the Nytro is different, not sure what the difference would be.

Barn of parts mentioned above he has some

I've done it. Stock springs from a 2009 Nytro XTX skid are now in my 2011 APEX XTX.
They are much better and my XTX even has a Turbo under the seat for extra weight on top of my 200 lbs.

Thanks everyone for your reply.
I will try that set up. I think it will work great with the Star suspension set up.
