Transplanted a nytro xtx skid and it appears that the torsion springs are too soft due to added weight of apex. Sled does not rebound well once compressed. Did anyone else have this issue? Did you upgrade to apex xtx springs?

from what machine are the spring/damper? On my -14 apex ttx (comes with øhlins in scandinavia) one of the springs are wrong from øhlins, they used a spring from a nytro ttx, and my yamaha dealer told me they have to get the machine in to change it on warranty, they said it would have big difference (way more softer on a nytro) so...

The XTX skid is notorious for the amount of static sag or lack of rebound. I installed a Nytro XTX skid in one of my Apex sleds a couple of years ago and did quite a bit of research on the skid. I actually found the stock Nytro XTX springs to give me the best ride results along with installing the Star suspension mod in the skid. The Star kit really helps get back some of the sag and rebound that the stock skid was not giving.

Here's a link to one of the many topics posted in the Nytro forum regarding the problem that you've noticed with the skid: http://www.ty4stroke.com/threads/rear-suspension-sag.127939/#post-1144352

Kind of depends on the rider weight. I also have a set of Nytro springs in my 2011 Apex XTX with a star suspension kit and a heavier center shock spring. They are too light for it and I run the spring adjuster on high all the time. I weigh 190 geared up. It works well for me as it is. If used with the Hygear spacers it helps keep the sage out and can carry a little heavier rider. I put a Nytro XTX skid in a 2008 40th ann apex with stock Nytro springs and hygear spacers. Works okay in that sled but, the owner only weighs about 140 with gear. I put another Nytro XTX skid in a 2006 RTX Apex with the Apex XTX springs, hygear spacers and running them on high setting and it still isn't enough to hold the ride height up where it belongs. The owner is a real big guy buy he gets by with it okay but, he doesn't jump stuff or ride too fast on real rough trails.
