I realize that there are people on this site that don't like Hauck, but I like the looks of the muffler and they are out of WI which I like also. There has been some question on this site about the sound of it. They (website) claim that "Awesome looks, Great weight savings, HP gain, The best part is that the Single Pipe is only 1/2 dB louder than stock!!and all at only 81 dB, at WI DNR test." So if you have any experience hearing this pipe or owning it I would like some feedback. Hindle is my other choice but it's $100 more. Not interested in the skinz silencers-Thanks

I had the Hauck Husher on with my Excell header. It was a bit too loud for my liking. I installed a Ultra Q muffler from Yamaha.
That has a nice sound to it.

I have had two. Sounds higher pitched then throaty. There are some clips on YouTube of the sounds. My last one the welds broke on it after three trips and I had to fix the inner liner tube.

So there are still questions about reliability and sound? How can they claim the silencer is 1/2db over stock, yet most on this site say it's loud? Of course, when I referenced this site to the guys in Rice lake-Hauck essentially said you're all crazy with an agenda! HA

The loudness and pitch are different. I've gotten tested by the cops near land o lakes before and passed. The high pitch whine it has is like a pack of bees I was told by the guys following me. I'm sure his stuff was good back in the day when him, bender and aeen were competing for the two strokes etc. Some companies try to live off of passed success by selling fart mufflers and other gadgets. Now a days with newer and evolving companies like ulmer, hurricane, h&h, osp, etc there are better choices for each improvement on your sled IMO

I had the full hauck system and found it not too loud and just a little raspy. they have since updated their header but mine developed some little holes that i had to get rewelded. their kit with the intake fuel computer and clutch kit that i had seemed to work really well. However if you are gonna just get the exhaust, if i was to do it all over, i would probably stick with hindle.

My hauck husher was louder than stock by more than their claim of 1 1/2 decibel. I tried several car mufflers which were louder than the husher. The husher had the best sound but was too loud for me. I ended up modifying the stock muffler.
