just got my new 17 viper btx home last night. The dealership told me that there was a two prong accessory plug under the hood where I could could plug in the Yamaha dash cord electric shield cord. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find anything. I thought it would be quite obvious but maybe not. Do any of you know where it is.
Also where is the spare belt supposed to be stored

I believe there is an accessory plug located very near the reverse actuator/chaincase. Lower right side where your right foot would normally be.

Another option is to run the visor cord right off the battery, under the seat and up into the handle bar area. That’s how I set mine up.just got my new 17 viper btx home last night. Not related but do you keep your spare belt on top of the clutch guard? Do you secure it somehow? I keep mine on my luggage bag on tunnel but would prefer to keep it elsewhere if possible.Spare belt on top of clutch guard

Thanks guys. Found the plug. Didn’t expect to find it way down there. Guess I’ll have to get an extension cause there is no way the cord I got from Yamaha is long enough.
As for the belt goes, that’s where I usually carry them but you would think that Yamaha could have at least supplied the belt clip on the cause cover. Guess I’ll have to find one somewhere

You can get an adapter plug for the visor from either Yamaha or Cat. I got mine from a Polaris dealer and it was in a GMax bag so they make one as well. It was $12. It goes from the two prong trailer wire to RCA plug.

I set mine up this way as well, but if you do that, make sure to put an inline fuse on the positive wire.

For me, every electrical accessory gets its own fuse including my battery tender lead.Never thought of that. I’ll be adding one!

I used Rock smart supply which give me multiple power ports. All plug and play, very nice.http://yamaheater.com/Products.php
