Looking for some input on how to best wire the RCA plug. AC has this setup that plugs into the accessory port on the wiring harness:
http://www.snowcitymi.com/catalog/helme ... -dash-cord
What are the chances this will work on the Viper? Just trying to get things lined up but may have to wait to see if the harness has this setup. I wish they factory installed the plug like they have on their other models.

My vote is Rock's Smart Supply. You could ask him if he has one for the Viper.

I think battery will be under the seat. That will be out of the question. Cat usually have a plug by the right side with a plug. Should be the same.

Another vote for Rocks set up. He does have one for the Viper.

E-mailed Rock at Yamaheater.com and he said there is one for the new Viper and they would be at the Milwaukee and Novi snow shows.

The one that Rocks Smart Supply sells is more than what I need. Looks like a nice product but I just need one plug in for the heated shield. I really like how Yamaha has the factory rca jack on the Vector. I will look into if this set up can be installed on the Viper.

Not sure till we get it but most cats have a cigarette lighter type outlet on the dash. You just use a adapter.

You take out the price of the "cigarette lighter to rc adapter" and I think the smart supply is the way to go. You will get more consistent power and surge protection. You will use the usb's as time goes on.

I always wire in my own shield cord to near the throttle.
Back in the day one of my sleds that I raced had a factory tether by the throttle, which was natural to attach to your right wrist.
When electric shields came out it was natural to wire the shield plug to near the throttle, 4" to 6" slack, use to doing everything with left hand. Run the other part of cord up right sleeve, through loop in back of neck and out left side of collar.
I, my wife and everyone in our group use this method. No one has much cord trouble.
Others are always buying new cords cause they pulled theirs apart. I even carry a special tester and extra cords to help others out.
Wife and I have not replaced our cords for many years. We humans program easy.
It is amusing at rallys, group rides, etc. to watch other wrap there cord around their neck, not to safe, around the handle bars or gas cap.

I agree the smart supply is the best way to go and I will be getting one. Just giving out the options if someone cant afford one.
