MI Off Trail Rider

Anybody have any suggestions for heavier springs on the XTX? I ride the wife 2-up and am 260 + gear so we really squash the thing......
Thanks.
Thanks.

Talk to Allen Ulmer. He set me up with a pair of 2200 rate torsion springs for my big arse for right around $200. Depending on how hard you ride with your wife on the back and how big she is, these may be a little overkill, as I am 350 with gear and can barely get the thing to squat on soft!

Thanks BigTime.
I was hoping to find a set up like the older 2-up's that had an extra set of torsion springs that were held in the "up position" (not in use) when riding solo. You could release them down and increase the spring tension when u were going to ride a passenger.
Because if I have to spring it for both of us, when I ride solo it won't move.
Thanks...

I wonder if you could install these leaf springs on the rear skid of the xtx? My parents have a Arctic Cat Panther 2-up that has these leaf springs and they sure work good. My Dad calls this the "fat wife feature" haha

What sled were they from? Apex? What year? A part number would be awesome. Im also looking for stronger springs.

I'm thinking the springs are from an Apex RTX, but I'm not positive. You would have to talk to Ulmer about that for sure. I didn't have to cut them to length at all or anything, so maybe they are made for the Nytro? There are part #s on the springs, but my XTX is at the dealer right now getting some warranty work done. I'll try and post them as soon as I get her back from the dealer.

Do they sell a 2 up seat for the 09 Nytro. It would be nice to bring the wife for a ride once in a while.

Yamaha does not currently offer any heavier springs for the XTX. We have had some springs made up in 3 different ratings. The stock springs are 1100 rate. We offer a 1600 rate, 1900 rate, and a 2200 rate.
