Hey guys, I am taking my Apex out west which is stretched to 144" with the 1.75" backcountry track. I have the 22T top gear and 8 tooth drivers. Obviously I will be changing the primary weights for elevation but I am wondering is switching helix's will help me out west? Right now I have the stock Apex RTX helix, I am considering buying a used 43 degree straight cut helix and am wondering if it is worth 50 bucks for me swapping out helix's before we go. Will it help me keep rpm up in powder? As well as improve backshift and ease pressure up on the belt? Or will the stock helix be just fine?

Thanks for any help you can give,

You should be able to find a strate 43 or 45 helix for $25 & yes it will work a lot better at elevation.

I have a straight 43* Dalton (I think it's a Dalton. Definately Billet CNC'd) helix, if interested. Shoot me a PM if you want it.
