In one way I'm sorry to see the old Bravo finally sent off to pasture. It's really the only thing out there available as a simple, reliable, lightweight machine for kids to drive, or for the bush wacker to go ice fishing or trail breaking.
On the other hand, I hope Yamaha is taking it out with the intention of bringing something back completely revamped to the lineup for 2013. I'm a Nytro XTX owner and love the sled, but jumping on my Bravo and taking off through the bush wherever you want to go, is so much fun you cant believe! Please dont give up on this market segment as the other manufacturers seem to be doing. Put a single cylinder 450cc (YZF) 4 stroke engine into a new lightweight chassis with a 144" track and some cargo carrying capacity. Make a simple pogo-style front suspension, seat height designed with kids in mind, with reverse and electric start and you would sell a ton of these!
I'll be the first in line.

That's not a bad idea at all.

I have been lookin for that kind of sled for my kids one is getting to big for the xc120 . Been lookin at used ones but they are beat up so that would be so cool if they did something like that ;)!

I would seriously consider buying one...We've got newer 300F Tundras at work, and they are fun, in a different way. They're so light and maneuverable...I'm looking at buying either a bravo or Tundra (older ones) for my kid this spring/summer so he has something to grow into...None of the manufacturers seem to care that kids outgrow 120cc sleds and aren't strong enough to maneuver a Phazer/550F Tundra/Poo/Cat

Sounds good to me. Think terms of the 250 Raptor, what kid saw that and didn't want one!?

Something like the light, economical AC Jag. The kids and I still have a blast on our 87'.

Really you would hop off a XTX and on to a bravo and thinks its fun?

All of you would buy your kids a $4000-5000 toy?

In the past two seasons, I've had more fun tooling around on our Bravo than riding my big sled. Pulling the kids around on the sled with the Bravo has been an absolute hoot. Last weekend, I was pulling one kid with my Nytro and the other was driving the Bravo. The Nytro was brutal for that. All it did was shoot snow and yank the sled out from under them.

Yes I would. Looks like mine will be getting a Phazer next year with a throttle restriction on it.

Except for the yzf engine. Very high strung, and requires a ton of top end maintainence to last. Now use some of the hi press di 2-stoke tech from the outboard segment in a 500 2-stroke twin and that would be a fun little sled.

just let them put a wr250-450 motor in there with fuel injection. they already made the wr250r/x so part of it is done as they have the same service intervals as out rx/rs/apexes do.

some times it is more fun to toss a small sled around in the trees than roar down the trail on a bigger one. this segment is where most of us learned our skills to ride the bigger sleds.
