Help 08 nytro left foot getting wet.

Duct tape , wet foot plate , etc wont help. The problem is that the water drules down from above not from below. Remove the seat and you will notice 2 large holes in the top of the tunnel just to the rear of the exhaust flange box above where your feet usually are placed. Clalk em up and wet boot is a thing of the past. This condition is totally unacceptable and you should not have to buy Klim boots to fool yourself that the problem is solved. Been riding for over 35 years now and not even my first sled (1971 Ski-Doo Olympic) up 2 my most current before the Nytro (2006 Ski-Doo 600 Rev) ever left me with a wet foot and there were about 30 sleds in between.

I had nice $140 RU Outside boots and couldnt stop the wet foot for nothing. So I eventually bought another obnoxiously expensive pair of Klim boots as Yamaha suggested. My dealer is a great guy but he failed to mention that this sled would require the use of fully water proof boots. He admitted its all his fault, not Yamahas

Crankshaft i pulled the tank found the 2 corner holes that will let the water run down the sides , caulked them up, will try it out shortly. jeff
Cool. Another dry left foot. You spend $11.000 on a sled you most certainly shouldnt have to purchase special water proof boots to ride the damm thing. Klim boots=$150.00+
Tube of calk=$2.00.
Seems like a no brainer to me. Lol.

I agree. Hector at Yamaha told me to buy a better pair of boots

I caulked up the holes on the tunnel but also put some duct tape under foot well area and its good to go. However I also have klim boots.

I have a 08 with no plate and I get some freezing spray but not the wet boot. I did notice most of my water coming from the clutch vents by my left boot. I did the duct tape job on the top vent to see how that worked. I left the bottom one open as I don't think much water came out that one and letting the heat out too. I'll find out tomorrow and report back

Cocked up a few holes last night!!
Hope I get away with it.

I'm sure you will be fine as long as it was done legally!!! I still have to look for the mystery holes as there are no pics up yet...
