5500 miles. new track, new slides, all new bearings. I went up to the UP on a trip at the end of December and burned up my hyfax's in 300 miles. No problems while I was up there. Came home, changed out slides and took it out for a run on the local trails. Plenty of snow. I know I had my track tensioned ok because i noticed some ratcheting. I came up to a stopsign about 5 miles down the trail and when i tried taking off, my track was locked up, you could tell it wanted to move but it just wouldnt. I finally got it loose and proceeded. As I went down the trail i noticed that at slower speeds (up to 15 or 20mph) it was taking a lot for it to move, like something was hanging up or the ebrake was on (it wasnt). When I would let off the throttle from slower speeds, the machine came to a quick stop. I am suspecting that either the hyfax's werent "broke in" yet (but this doesnt explain the "braking" from slower speeds) or my secondary buttons are worn. If anyone has any suggestions please send them my way, and if anyone can tell me a telltale sign of when clutch buttons are wore out please pass that on too. Thanks in advance.
