I want to get a set of bogie wheels for my xtx. I just cant decide which is better, either the plastic slydogs or the aluminum ones from tricked toyz with the nasty nuts. What are the advantages of the plastic or aluminum. The aluminum ones look awesome with the nasty nuts. I am just putting 171 studs down the middle to see if it will be good enough hook up with the turbo, I doubt it will be so if not I am going to stud on the outside. So I would have to get the aluminum ones with the rubber rings, which can be replaced I believe? If i go with the slydog wheels will the get trashed from the studs on the outside? Just want to hear what people have to say about it.
Thanks Mark

I don't have any experience with the slydogs but am thinking of giving them a try this season. I have used Tricked Toys Tribals in the past ( with the rubber ) and can say they have the BEST billet wheel on the market...2 seasons on mine and they looked like new...great guys to deal with

Are the tricked toy wheels bigger than stock? Only reason I went with the slydog wheels is cause they are slightly bigger, to save on my hyfax. I hate changing my hyfax the night before a trip

I really like my SlyDogs, 2500 miles and they are in excellent shape, I also got a full season out of my stock hyfax with them installed.

This is what I like to hear! With my fully clipped track and slydogs I'm hoping to go the whole year on one set of hyfax too....but then what will I complain about?

We can make them either stock size, or the larger size all with or without rubber, and your choice of powder coating.

i have the slydogs and i really liked how they kept my sliders/skid full of snow all last season. we will see if i will get a 3rd season out of a set of cheapie kimpex sliders. only smelled them once last season and there was almost no lube anywhere that day.
tricked-toys, any posibility of getting some 6"-6.25' wheels made up to fit a vk540? keeps making flat spots on the wheels because they keep pluging up and freezing.

Yes, we can pretty much make any size wheel, all we need is the diameter and what bearing it takes.....

Not to jack the thread but Brian, I won a set of your wheels on dootalk a few years ago. I got rid of that sled and want to use your wheels on my nytro. The question I have is will they work ( i see alot of guys using doo sized wheels) and what bearings might I need???? Thansk, Eric.. BTW If I get the wheels on, I PROMISE to get a pic on dootalk and here as I said I would after winning the wheels!!!!

The Yamaha's use a 6004 rear and a 6205 front for the bearings, the wheels you have will either fit the fronts or the rears but not both since Doo uses the same bearing all around. If your wheels have the 6205 bearings you can get a different bearing that has the same I.D as the 6004, but has the O.D of the 6205.

Pretty much decided I am going to go with the aluminum wheels with the rubber on the outside. Going with bright red with black nasty nuts so I can keep my black and red theme going. The only thing I need to decide now is what size? I am going to go bigger than stock but how much bigger is the question now. Also going to add the fourth wheel. Just cant decide on the size I want to go with? Any one have these on their xtx? If so what size and maybe give me your opinion on theme? Any problems, whats better or worse, what was the install like, maybe so pictures? Thanks again every one
