I have a friend's fazer here for service that is hard sometimes to shift from forward reverse and reverse to forward.sometimes I need to wait a while and even rock the sled a little. Any clue????

This is typical with the Phazer. The system uses an electric servo to engage the reverse gear. So you some times need to rock the sled when you try to engage as the reverse gear teeth are not lined up. It helps to engage reverse with a lower idle speed like under 1,500 RPM. Also its easier to engage reverse when you start the after it idles down. G.B.

It's funny you say that ..i found the idle was high..but it does not show the idle on the display!??

Push the upper left hand button on the gauge cluster that says "SELECT". Toggle thru the displays, ODO, and trip gauge etc until you find the tach. G.B.It's funny you say that ..i found the idle was high..but it does not show the idle on the display!??

the wiggle, rock and shutdown reset are all normal from what i have seen.

Yup. I got this one to lower the idle from 2800rpm down to 1800. Made a big difference .

I have the same problem. So I read this forum a lot and someone recommended getting off the sled and lifting the rear and dropping it. It works every time now. I lift it about 2 inches and drop it and you can hear it shift. Hopefully this works for you too.
