can u remove the reverse box and just run a straight jack shaft and remove the reverse set up, I am running a turbo and think the power is messing with the forward and reverse set up I just want to run a straight jack shaft

It would be a straight swap. Just get the part from a base phazer. Some here would pay you for your reverse plus their old standard shafts. Not sure what codes would be triggered without the reverse disonnected.

ya I was not sure if there was a phazer without reverse I am supposed to go up north next weekend just lookin for a quick easy fix might put reverse back in at a later date

Thers also an oil transter tube that feeds oil to the reverse gearbox.

What is the problem you are experiencing with the reverse?

well not gonna work since the 2 places I called told me that the shaft I needed there is only 2 one in Wisconsin and the other in japan so I guess I just make due with what I got. is there a thread on here of all the updates that need to be done to a 07 phazer

There is a pile of updates. When I bought my 07 last year the guy told me all the updates were done. Not even close. The update for the reverse is a longer oil transfer tube and grommet. What is the issue that you are having with the reverse?

There is a difference in the frame side plates so the swap would not be straightforward. The part that mates with the gear box to seal it to the frame piece is larger than the non-reverse one. Same thing for someone installing reverse on a non reverse sled. And yo0u would have to block up all the bolt holes and feeder tube hole. If you're just having problems shifting to and from reverse, it's not just you. What problem are you having exactly?

I tore it apart figured it out had some bearings going out. got fixed what I could before the trip to go up north but the dog ear was all wore out so I ended up just building a spacer to lock it in forward so I cold at least go riding. gonna wait for off season to do all updates and get it back to normal sucks not having reverse

Somebody else had theirs self destruct like that too. Wasn't just the dog gears but the shift fork was ground down. Getting individual parts was more expensive than just finding a good used box. Could have been a lubrication problem caused by the first design short oil pipe and grommet.
