I have a friend of mine who bought a reverse gear set up from sombody who took it off their sled ( I think he said it was a wreck) He has a 97 or 98 Yamaha 500 and asked me to install it for him. I have done this before on another brand and told him I would. But I thought I would ask if anybody out there may consider sending a copy of factory instructions they may have to help . like with the template for drill and that sort of thing! Thank you!!!

Question about the drive sprocket and the reverse gear. There is a small spring. There seems to be a hole in each gear so I assume the spring in placed within each of these holes.

yes you are correct, that small spring goes in that hole between the 2 gears.
