HELP??? Secondary Spring Question...

Life could be 1 day.

Try a new spring, clean your clutches.

Also, there's probably a better chance that your primary spring is sacked! I'd look to that first.

WOW, 1 giant thread over a dirty clutch.....now put in them new springs and you're laughing!

Actually it ended up being a clogged main jet. Springs seem fine, But I just got the new ones today, so I'll toss them in anyhow.
If that was your 1000th post and not 1001, I would say you said that just to break the 1K mark! ;)! :moon: :brrr: :jack: :whore: :winter:

So the end result...
I think originally my secondary was dirty. Cleaned that up and it was back to normal for a short time. Then the next night when the sled started running really poor at WOT...I suspected something in a main jet.
I was right. Somehow a small little shaving of clear plastic somehow got in one of them.

Perhaps the dirty carbs were a coincidence!!!

Glad it works now!!

LOL!! and that was post 1001!!!

Yeah she runs great again and we just got dumped with about 14" yesterday. Rare for us!

So I see you have an EFI sled. Did you see my post about cost to mod an EFI compared to a carbed sled? I might be trading my SRX and some cash for an 06 Apex RTX. I'm wondering how much more expensive is it to mod a EFI sled over a carbed sled? From what little I have read over on the APEX fourms it looks like it a bit costlier to get an APEX to run like my RX-1. I think I have less that 1000 bucks in my RX and it seems to do pretty well. Buddy just bought a F1000 and I handed his azz to him on our last trip, but he SAID he was taking it easy...but even after the sled had over 500 miles I walked all over it out of the hole. Top end might be a different story though. His 900 he had just before this 1000 was beating me top end by a MPH or two.

Any thoughts? :4STroke:
