Help with strange problem

Checking out both SpeedSXS kit ($499 US) (https://speedsxs.com/products/wildcat-xx-and-tracker-xtr-1000-billet-water-pump) and Dasa Racing impeller ($249 US) (https://www.dasaracing.com/product-p/xx-wpim.htm). Dasa told me yesterday they are on revision 5 now. Changed shaft material and the way the impeller mounts to shaft. Trying to get an answer but I believe the impeller is now threaded onto shaft, no more cross holes.
Remember if one chooses the Dasa impeller, most likely you'll end up buying another $100 worth of parts (o rings, seals) to do job right.
SpeedSXS kit already contains all that. It's complete kit with everything needed.
As soon as Dasa answers my questions I'll make my decision. Don't have snow here in southern MN anyway so not in a hurry to get it going.
Keep us posted. I am thinking of doing this as preventive maintenance .

After conversation with Dasa Racing, they now appear to have a high-quality replacement impeller for those who are considering an aftermarket option rather than OEM.
Here is Kevin's summary on the improved and revised product:
We now use hardened 416 stainless steel for the shafts. Since switching to that material, we have not had any of the previous issues we did have with the early generation shafts. We also added a slightly larger radius on the square edges. A square edge on any part is usually a weak point so we wanted to make sure there was a radius there to add a little more strength to those areas.
The shaft now has a larger shoulder where the actual impeller meets the shaft. This gives more contact area for the actual impeller and it also helped us beef up the end of the actual shaft. The shoulder also helps us locate the impeller on the shaft so that we know for sure the impeller will fit in the engine. There is not a lot of room between the case and the cover so the location of the impeller on the shaft is critical.
We have tested these impellers under loads on our dyno (using the YXZ and Wildcat XX). We also have an employee who has a Wildcat XX as his personal car and he has been running one of these impellers for a couple of seasons now in Glamis and Ocotillo Wells and has not had a problem. We don’t do much with snowmobiles here in SoCal so I can honestly say we have not personally tested one in a Sidewinder. I do know that we have sold these impellers to numerous Sidewinder customers and we have not had any complaints.

You should gap the plugs down .022" or .020" in that range if you suspect it's missing. I'm using CR9EK dual ground strap plugs and lowering the gap to .022", but I change them every season because I've been using MMT octane boosters which puts that gold dust on them and makes them look funky. I'm now going to try Klotz higher octane booster and see if the plugs look better without the MMT in the octane booster.

If the water pump fails it will quit pumping water and overheat.
My sled is stock, but I've had very good results with Torco on an 02 mustang tuned, that would ping under load, and an original 69 Camaro ss 350 (not mine, a friends$$$..) and the Torco cured the pinging...then on my supercharged kenne bell mustang. Seems to be good stuff but just observational, no real data.
Torco Accelerator.

Yes, Torco is the last booster I used, prior to that it was Dragon concentrate, both of which contain MMT and leave plugs and exhaust turbo housing and exhaust orange. The orange dust on the plugs leave one wondering how in the world they keep firing without fouling, so I change them out every season. This last set I left in for two seasons and when I took them out I thought I had alum on them, but upon further and closer inspection it was just the flecks of MMT. So I just received the Klotz higher octane booster yesterday and switched out the plugs again last week, we'll see how the Klotz does as it does not contain MMT and is not supposed to turn things orange.

Mike do not spill the Klotz on anything.. Especially anything painted, as it eats paint for lunch. No biggie just be careful when pouring

Yes, that's what I understand. I have to wonder what it in the stuff that makes plastic turn color and paint damage so rapidly. Kind of a scary thought.
