Help with track Drag

Finish clipping the track that will help a lot !
On alittle hill I have to hold the brake now or it will start rolling !

I did install an Arctic Cat 4th wheel kit on mine when new. There are many aftermarket kits that are much nicer, but a little more money. 5 minute install for the Cat kit.

Same thing happening here! On occasion I am hitting the rev limiter 9100 - 9150 rpm then drops to 8700rpm. Once I hit 80 MPH is seems to drop to 8350 rpm. Something just doesn't seem right.

SK-RX1
AC 4th wheel do they simple attach to the end of the existing axial?

I would ride to sled just to make sure you are doing what needs to be done. Do a long wide open run and watch your rpm not the speedo. You wanna be 8800-9000 to get best performance. If your rpm is off then that's not helping at all. If your slides are wearing bad on the bend extra wheels will help as well as in other areas of the skid. 4th wheel kit is always good. If you have your suspension set stiff try loosening it up, the stiff suspension causes a ton of drag and will make your slides wear faster. First make sure your rpm is right and then go from there. Also a lot of air/spring pressure on the front shocks will slow you down from the skis dragging and that also puts more weight on the skid which in turn will cause more drag and less speeds

144 I would assume if the track drags that will also effect the RPMS, the sled runs around 8800 rpms but i am also 280 Lbs and that effects things also.

Cat wheel kit is just some spacers, wheels, and a longer bolt that threads into the existing axle. RTX and LTX are not the same, you need to get an XF7000 kit for an LTX. I got mine mail order thru Country cat, D&D has them, and I'm sure any Cat dealer. Some of the aftermarket kits are like this, some use a whole new axle assembly.

I had a lot of track drag on mine. Same thing you were experiencing. Would only do 85mph on ice and running 8900 the whole time. Come to find out my slides were wearing very hard and it was causing my belt to slip. Belt slipping certainly hurt but it was caused from track drag. Mine wore really bad directly under the torsion springs and the up front on the bend some. Added extra wheels and loosened suspension way up and sled went from only doing 85 on ice to running 98-100 consistently in a hard packed field. Stiff suspension really hurts this sled for top speed. I put softer torsions in mine and a couple days ago I saw 104 running on ice and I weigh 230. The sled will go fast just takes time and money to get it to roll freely
