What do you think happened when the knock sensor light comes on then goes away. Then the sled stalls after another 2 minutes with the coolant temp light on. Let cool for 20 minutes then the engine is louder and has no power. Let cool for 10 minutes then drive for 1 minute until engine power fails and sled shuts down. Code 30 and temp warning light are on. Tow out 30 miles, restarts fine but has only enough power to move itself and is still loud. Oil level and coolant levels fine. Sled had been serviced by dealer 1 week prior. I'm bummed because we have a crapload of snow and only a 1990 377 safari to enjoy it on. #$%&*

Well here's the answer...Crank bearings and possible subsequent damage. Tear down to begin on Monday then its a decision on replacement or repair. I'm hoping it will be replacement. Its all warranty, (YES) so that's cool but I'm going to lose a week of prime riding. Man, what luck!

damn how many miles and do you think the damage ocured when it rolled and pumped out all that oil?

It has 4000km, about 2500 miles. No, I turned off the machine within 5 seconds of it turning over and towed it out. I also brought it to the dealer to get checked out and have the oil drained and filter changed. I have driven it about 400 km since and its been great. I have a feeling the oil pump failed. So far this sled has had extensive work done on it. Well, it'll be a whole new machine soon, lol. The thing that gets me is that I love driving it so much I can't imagine replacing it with anything else.
