I had this same problem on my 2001 polaris 800. My dealer but a 3rd set of bogie wheels where the rails bend. I looked on SLP's web site to see if they had Hyper-fax's in 162" yet but none were listed. anybody know where/if you can get a set for Yamaha that long yet?

I was thinking about it but Hammer said he has them and he still wore them down the first ride. Do you have them? Seem to work ok for you? Did you buy them locally?

I had them on my Vector last year and I put them on the Apex. Haven't used it yet though. They sure keep a lot of snow on your sliders.
This link is for the ones I got. (running board mounted) I got them from Alpine Motorsports in Salmon Arm, BC

Hyfax... The stockers are really wide, and if switched over to the hyperfax, will track side to side play be a problem? The only wear I have seen on mine is where the clips have rubbed the side of the hyfax.

It looks like the scratchers that mount to the rails don't do much for the front of the sliders. Are the ones taht mount to the running boards or skis more likely to get snow spray on the front bend of the slider?

OK, I have a stupid question............. Do scratchers throw up dirt and small gravel in low snow conditions... Hmmmmmmm---Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm???? MM.

Mad Max, the scratchers would throw dirt and rocks in low snow conditions if left down. The scratchers are mainly a mtn thing, but that does not mean a short track or crossover sled can't use them either.

Lone Viper, can you post a pic? I have a set from MPI as well, but didn't even think about them on the skis

I bolted everything togeather, started out with rivets but I decided they weren't strong enough. Made the brackets out aluminum and it may also need to be heavier.

Pretty simple project, left scracher on right ski and viseversa.

mine wore fast the first ride due to lack of experience "stay off dirt roads" but now the wear seams to have stabilized im wondering if it has to do with breaking in that big awesome track! ive heard they wear faster with a new track and the second set will wear slower. all of my wear is in the first 16 inches on the flat part of the rail the rest looks almost new. second set next week!
