Same sled with the 137. First day I had it I installed 6" dual carbides. Lifted up the front limiter strap 1 hole and removed the rear scissor stop blocks. Made everything else in the rear suspension as soft as possible. Front track shock loosend as far as I could. I forget what I did to the rear track shock (if anything is possible). Loosened up the front shocks as much as I could and have it still steer decently. I like the way it rides.
New 14 might not have had the chaincase adjusted correctly. Many were way loose. You should check it or have it checked. First time is a pita. Shoot for 1.5 turns out and adjust out the squealing (or reduce it to a manageable level).
Put a wrench on every hose clamp you can find. Insure the recall for the fuel line hose clamp has been addressed.

I'm out of Connecticut, but I ride in Northern Maine. (definitely interstates!). I have an XTX SE and stuck the belly pan on my sled as soon as I purchased it. We ride with a guy who has an '08 Apex GT and took out the belly pan on his before putting on the skid protector.

Yes you were right it is an rtx my bad. I think maybe I had brain fart..
I would have a brain fart if I only had a brain.... And yes on the 8 dn belt with or without turbo. The 8jp is very inconsistent and makes a lot of dust. to run the 8 dn you only have to shim (washers behind the 3 bolts on the back side of the secondary to get the height right. Or the osp adjuster is a grat addition for about $90 bucks it makes the belt changes a snap. and 1 blown 8jp will almost cost you the same with 8 dn being 1/2 the price and lasting longer. I am running them on both vipers and am having a 2nd set of clutches built for the 15 because the turbo is switched at 6 & 10 #'s of boost I can swap the clutches faster than changing weghts

Now I really like the new windshield. It measured originally 10 inches from instrument panel to 6 inch. I could not find any thread that would give idea where they measure from and what height ends up as

welcome. lots of info on here to help get your sled perfect. just need to decide witch way to go. snow checked mine in 13. rode stock for 2000 miles then put on the hurricane turbo and have 1000 miles on it like that. wow what a difference. tomorrow i will finish installing the intercooler and new gears. going to 22/41. also installed a 1.6 ice cobra track. really excited for this winter! all praise to dave at hurricane performance. awesome product. did some little goodies cosmetically to mine when new. paint, bumper, sticker, windshield, need a skid plate yet though.

A fellow NH rider. I live in Southern NH but we ride all over from here to Pittsburg. It is funny that you mention loud pipes - I have never had an issue in NH with them in the past. The new Viper with the trail can sounds sweet!
I have a 2015 XTX and have done a bunch of stuff to it.
Here are some pictures from South to North.

Between Manchester and Nashua.
After over 25 years of riding I got my first ticket this year. The F&G guys could not have been any cooler about it. We lost 2 guys in the back of our group so I went back to find them. 20 minutes later we were on an old property border road trying to catch back up to the group (about 1 mile straight as an arrow). I figured this was a great place to see if the COTC mods and others I was making were making a difference. I was in the lead and the sled was maxed out in good conditions (90+). A Nytro XTX and an Apex Attak behind me and we run tight. Half way down the road the LEO steps out of the woods with a radar gun. I could see him a long way off and was able to come to a stop off the trail directly across from them.
LEO - Thanks for stopping right away
Me - well no point in denying it
LEO - you were moving along any reason why?
Me - I was trying to see how fast the sled would go
LEO - What about your buddies?
Me - They are here for verification only.
He actually laughed and said thanks for the honesty. I made one slip and asked him how fast I was actually going (never ask for the actual speed) he said don't ask.
So 3 sleds all going over 30+ over (trails in NH are 45MPH state wide unless otherwise posted) It should have been at least a $330.00 ticket for each of us. In the end he gave only me a $74.00 ticket. As I was getting ready to leave his partner held up 9 fingers, then 6 - then a thumbs up. So the mods were making a difference lol.
We got back and my two friends were laughing their #*$&@ off and both chipped in to pay the ticket. We figured it like a speeding tax. In NH the lowest citation a F&G officer can give is $74.00 the highest ends you up in jail.
FYI - In NH if you get a citation from the "Fish & Game" (they do all OHRV enforcement in NH) at the top it says on it Fish & Game Citation. If it says that on the top and you pay it on time, it never touches your license. The only time it touches your license is if it is not paid on time (or if it is DUI or criminal) then it is sent to the DMV for collection and there it counts against your license.

At least your guys have a sense of humor -they probably read all of the sled mags saying that the viper could not do over 89 and thought they were seeing things
When I got mine last season I was not that lucky - I thought the guy was going to cuff me. He tried riding close behind me with no blinking lights and thought that was reason enough for me to pull over. So after 3 miles he cut me off and then started yelling at me. I just thought he was the clown I was riding with who kept riding my bumper like he was afraid of getting lost. $560.00 later My buddies all laughed and said too bad, no one chipped in on that ticket.

$560.00 - takes the fun right out of it. That is like 2 weekends of belts for you isn't it? LOL
I have to say I have never had a bad experience with a NH Fish & Game officer. I have been a hunter/fisher and powersports nut all my life and have run into them many times over the years. Not sure what training they go through but they never try to escalate the issue. Town cops seem like they want a fight and go out of their way to escalate the issue whatever it is. the staties are marginally better. In our state the F&G is the only department that has no borders in the state and can enter a house without a warrant. They have more power than the state police in that sense.

We have a sweet shop setup if you ever need to do anything major. Heat/AC big screen - my idea of a man cave.
If it is a Yamaha 4 stroke chances are we have done it.

Damn, I just redid the whole back yard and seeded it. 100lbs of seed 20 bales of straw. WAY more work than hydroseeding.
If you ever want to hang with a group of TY guys, New Ipswich isn't far. The offer of the shop is open too if you want to get anything done.
We are all in our 40's but still don't get passed. I'm not saying that there are no young guys with bigger #&@^$ and faster sleds, we just haven't ever been passed by any of them yet.
In our group,
1 Viper XTX
3 Nytros
5 Apex Attaks
1 Apex XTX
1 Phazer
We also have a guy on a doo that rides with us but he has to keep his stinking @#*& in the back of the group - lol
