With a trip coming This weekend And moving to a condo I lost my heated garage So I was forced to take my sled in for a battery and now I lost one headlamp. I called the place to let them know and he told me he never took the pod off? My first question would be is it possible to remove the air box without even taking the pod and that metal bracket out of there?
I'll remove the pod and check wiring and ballast but I'm also wondering if I have to tear everything apart down to the battery cause I'm not sure if this sledstart HID System has the direct connection to the battery or not?

Yes you need to take off the pod to get to the Allen head screws on the clamps around the intake, the metal bracket can stay on but it’s easier to get at the intake clamps if you remove it.
Even if you have the sledstart hid’s that need power from the battery you have one light working so that’s not the problem.

I would remove the light pod and take it from there.

Thanks for your reply, at least now I know I have power irregardless. When the battery was completely shot I did try to jump it with a 200 amp booster And I wonder if I fried a ballast or something?

I may be wrong but I personally wouldn’t think that jumping the sled would cause the problem,

I don’t see how the guy you brought the sled to could of changed the battery with out removing the light pod, unless he just yanked the air box off and some how got it back on. sounds like he just can’t be bothered with your problem.

It could be a simple connection that he forgot to put back or possibly a ballast just happened to blow, happened to me one day all was good next day had one light only working, I switch sides on the ballast and sure enough the one that was working also made the other light work so I knew it was the ballast.

I would definitely check the sled over as your first post made me wonder.

Removed the pod cover and a broken wire was staring me in the face! 5 minute fix.
