High Beam Switch Re-Location

As some of you know, one of my gripes with my Rage was the location of the beam switch I remedied that today while I was prepping the sleds for Summer storage.

I used a toggle switch from Home Depot and an accessory rubber boot also from Depot.

I ALWAYS had a hard time finding it.
My next project is to utilize the old beam switch to toggle between tumb and handwarmers so I can have all the switch functioms on the left side. I'll need to add a relay for that .
It's a real PITA trying to turn the thumbwarmers down and still maintain throttle so no one hits you from behind. I always manage to notice my thumb getting too warm in rough sections where I can't reach across with my left hand.

very nice...i thought about doin that...i wish yamaha would have installed little lights on the handgrips and the hi-low beam switch so u can see them in the dark. i was drivin down a straight trail and wanted to change my thumb handwarmers....ended up hittin the kill switch...and it backfired. sounded like a 12 guage. very nice tho-was thinkin of doin the same, cept just relocating the switch also. dont think i'd go with the toggle...somethin more of a push button, even tho that toggle would be nice and easy to change, almost too easy to the point where u could almost break it off if u ended up flippin over the handlebars..which has been known to happen

mine is on my brake lever like a cat. works great. i have electric headlight aiming switch where my dimmer used to be

Yeah Pimped I know what you mean, I was looking for a push button but all the ones I found were either to deep to fit inside the housing or were momentary contact. If the switch gets broken I can just unplug it worst that can happen is I'll be stuck on high beam.
