Looking to make a banzai run sometime soon in the U.P. Somewhere around 300 miles in 1 day. I do this several times a year on my sleds, but was wondering if anyone does it on their quads. HOWS THE BODY FEEL AFTER 300 MILES ON A QUAD ?? :exc:

300?
Man, I'm not sure I'd want to try that. Most I ever did was 150 and we were all beat to $h_t after that. It's a lot harder to rack up miles on a atv versus a snowmobile.

Good luck with that, I bet you'll need a nap when you're done. :exc: ;)!

I've done 2 rides so far of 150 mi each and did another 125 mi this past sunday.Mostly RR GRADES in S.W. WI
The body did'nt feel too bad after those rides.
More surprising is the RAPTOR is getting consistent 38.5 MPG :4STroke:

The key there is rail road grades. Cheese country trail? Much easier riding than up north.

I'll be riding the RR GRADES in the U.P. also. FLORENCE,WI to WATERSMEET,MI then on to MERINESCO,MI. The POO dealer in WATERSMEET said he will show me how to get up to KENTON/SIDNAW area via the NFS forest roads

Cool, Have a good trip. If you're on RR grades I'd say you could run 300 in a day. I was talking different trails. Some of them beat the crap out of you. :o|

Sounds like an awesome idea. ;)! I think we did a grand total of about 32 miles on this past TY trip www.totallyamaha.com/Totallyamaha/photo ... /atv05.htm

Since we'll be spending four days this weekend in Hurley, I think I'll try to get momma to try some riding into MI rather than just make the usual Joanie's, Bear Trappers, Yukon, etc. rounds.

That's of course if her wrist holds up, last ride we had to leave her at the Saxon pub, drinking and flirting with the locals while I blasted back to Hurley to get the trailer before she hurt herself or somebody. :drink:

Must have been fun for her because she's all excited to go while I'd really rather finish my landscaping projects before the weather turns.

Darn, I have to spend four days riding my Grizzly.

Yeah, life's real tough for me and I thank the good Lord every day for my blessings. ;)!

I was running the backhoe on my cute little Kubota the other day, digging in some downspout drains, thinking I used to play with this kind of thing in a sandbox as a kid.

I sure am glad I never grew up.

300 miles a day on a quad???
On Memorial Day weekend I went up to the Minocqua area and went riding the Little Rice trail with my brother and his wife.
He rode his '04 Troy Lee Predator, she rode her '94 Polaris Sportsman 400L 4x4 and I borrowed my father's '04 Polaris Sportsman 400 4x4 (I dont own a quad right now).
That trail was mostly straight with the occasional hairpin, off-camble corner with some LEGAL road riding mixed in.
We only rode about 40 miles and my brother was complaining that he was sore, so we didnt ride any more than that.
I was fine on that Sportsman and I could have easily rode 150 miles that day. Not sure if I could handle 300 miles in one day, but Id love to try! ;)!
