Steering is more agressive on a groomed trail, but it's also a lot more precise. Darting has been pretty much eliminated with these skis as well, only time I feel a grab here and there is when I get caught in the carbide tracks left behind from sleds ahead of me. These skis float better on powder too due to their added width, and I believe they are lighter than stock skis as well. Overall, these race skis from Slydog are a true added improvement over the stockers ;)!

Do you have the trail ski or the race ski ?

I have the RACE skis from Slydog because they are thicker and stronger than their trail ski. I have broken stock skis before, dont ask... :o|

NyTrOMaNIaC did you remove your heat exchanger guards to install the 1.5 intense track?

Same ski otherwise ?

Yup, took a steady hand with my dremel tool and a bit of patience but it should be done if you plan on installing a lug that tall.

Another pic from Sunday. Seems like the pics are always taken just before I touch down, gonna have to hire a different photographer...lol !!!

A few pics from today. 2 feet of fresh powder, found some nice drifts and a decent 10 foot drop to play on, nothing major yet. A bit more snow to cover up all the big rocks underneath, and it's on !

Hey, Nytromaniac

Nice pics,

I was thinking about extending my Nytro to 136" for a summer project.
But I just got a good deal on 121 x 1.5" Intense, so I am going the same route as yourself and GODDO. I hope I am as happy with the tracks performance as you are. Now I just have to pick out a set of skis. I have got it narrowed down to Slydog Race skis or C&A ADX or C&A razors. Those 5" yamaha butterknifes just don't cut it off trail. :o|
I told my wife I would keep it stock for the first year, but I Can't hold back.
How is the Yosh exhuast, One of the best mods I have seen on the nytro to date. Excellent work on that install.
;)!

I really like the Slydog Race skis. Being 6" wide, they float better off trail, and they handle like they're on rails ! Just make sure you're prepared to put a little more effort into steering the sled with them on. The Yosh exhaust is holding up well, no problems whatsoever, just performance improvement. I actually hit the rev limiter off the line this past weekend when I ran against a buddy of mine, but usually it comes out hard at 9200 rpms, creeps back to 8700 and eventually climbs up to around 8950 on a stretch at WOT. There's a noticeable difference over stock with the Yosh exhaust, I noticed it and so did my buddies who tried it. ;)!
