Hi guys im new to the forums. I started an account because im looking for info on how to set up my machine better for hill drags/climb. 450 foot run. It is the stock class so I am looking for any ways to make the machine faster and how to tweak the suspension so it is set up. I have the fox shocks in the front that are adjustable. Thanks

I never Hillclimb raced but what are the rules? Got a link to series?

Just standard speed/suspension improvements. Its 450 ft uphill. Should the front shocks be soft and the back hard?

You would want the back soft. The transfer blocks will keep front end down enough for sure. Is it a straight drag? No jumps?

Will it be deep snow throughout race or Ice come through? You studded?

Its on a ski resort, its fake snow and real snow, no ice. The rear shock has not been revalved. But generally do i want the front shock hard or soft? rear shock hard or soft? what about the limiter straps?

Put limit strap at longest setting, torsion springs at lightest setting,
transfer blocks on position one.
This puts all transfer to the track on take off.
You want the front skis skimming the snow while your track is planted in the snow while moving.
Put your feet at the back of the running boards, lean forward and pin it.
It’s a blast!!!!!

For hill drags pull the rear aluminum blocks and bar completely out, you’ll need all the help you can get when the starting lines get all tore up. Limiter straps all the way out for most transfer but you also want to have the spring on your front skid shock set to only 1 turn of preload, just enough to have a little pressure on it. Revalve of the rear shock will help a lot with weight transfer. That setup will get you out of the hole very well. Start with your weight towards the front of the seat, once you feel it start to transfer then put all your weight at the back of the sled and hang as far off the back of the seat as you can. If you’re into tuning at all, the free air box mod will definitely help and will never be seen at one of those events. Smaller 14.5 mm rollers in the clutch will also help a lot.
