Ok Apex guys....Hindle is designing a system for you guys, for both the 06 to 10 guys and the 2011 guys. On the 2011 they will be eliminating EXUP...I know this will spark huge debate and arguments...not why I posted it, just passing on the info. I'm not sure if I can get pics up but if I can..you will get them. The system is being designed by the boss himself..Lang Hindle...he is a very smart man and I'm sure he won't disappoint you guys. I will also post any dyno info I get.

Well, I know they are working on the 2011 this week and plans are to have it completed by friday...I'll try to find out more as Lee and I are heading to the Toronto PS show.

shaddow, He better not give up any power on the mid or the bottom by removing the EXUP or he and you won't here the end of it....

Make sure they get to Dynotech to prove their worth.

This should be interesting to see how much midrange they loose.

I know I won't believe any dyno results from any other source but Dynotech either.

Why this obsession about Dynotech...? OK, he knows what he is doing, but any dynamometer and operator that can keep the procedure as well as the ambient conditions constant should be good enough for a before vs after comparison...?

On a side note, I have always noticed that Dynotech seems to report higher numbers than other dyno centers, even with the same equipment and the same procedure. For instance, the FX Nytro is always 124-126 hp at MCX and they have not had a F7 above 130 hp (where Dynotech is close to 140 hp every time).

Because its an independent dyno lab. No hanky panky skewing the numbers.

I'd never believe a dyno sheet from the maker of the product doing the selling.

nice

Guys, I can tell you now that it probably won't go to dynotech, so those who will only believe numbers from that source may aswell stay out of this thread. Lang Hindle is well respected in the bike community, all dynoing is done in house and you never hear any complaints from those guys. I don't think he's going to spend thousands of dollars on dyno equipment just to have to go to the USA and have it done again to prove a point to a few guys. With all due respect Knapp Attack, if you won't believe the numbers, then don't buy the product. Companies like Bikeman Performance, Speedworks, MBRP do in house dynoing of their products and have ZERO issues selling their stuff or guys complaining about the numbers. If this thread turns into a debate about that then I will simply have it deleated. Last season Hindle made 2 systems, one for the Nytro and one for the Doo 1200. Both systems were developed with the help of 2 respected tuners, Hurricane for the Nytro and Bondi for the Doo. both independant dynos paid to dyno the pipes and nothing more. Hurricane decided to sell the product after it was developed and members on this site turned it into a complete shyt show calling it fishy etc.....On the Doo side of things...NO COMPLAINTS, NO QUESTIONS, NOTHING...everyone over there is happy with it...I never saw one guy saying " it must go to dynotech "
Over here...total opposite happened, and when it did go to Dynotech...guys picked it apart. In Jims statement, he said it ran rich and could have been tuned with one of his "in stock Power Commanders"....but that day he had none in stock, he also said he could have adjusted it with the RB3 that was on the sled...He didn't....That whole Dyno session turned into a big waste of money for Hindle...so like I said, don't hold your breath on a Dynotech session from Hindle...but feel free to purchase a system and do it yourself...and if you prove the numbers wrong than ask for you money back.

SledFreak, Hindle has been deleting EXUP from the bikes since it came on them and has had no losses in midrange from what I understand...and if they do lose...I'm not worried, it's not my product, I'm just a friend passing on the word to you guys...i'm going to stay out of any BS this season like I went through last season....but I'm actually more confident now that Lang is back doing the designing...he is a very smart man, and after speaking with him he I was very impressed...the man simply speaks a different language...he knows exhausts!

Any performance part manufacturer that is serious about what they are doing would have their own in-house dyno. Having their own in-house dyno, I can not imagine that they will be very interested in spending time and money to go to an independent dyno lab, just in order to prove somebody on an internet forum to be wrong...
If every manufacturer that does not dyno their product at an independent dyno lab would be characterized as "hanky panky skewing the numbers", then the streetbike market and especially the european streetbike market would be nothing but crooks. For instance, we have got some pretty serious streetbike exhaust manufacturers over here and they all have their own dyno equipment. Usually the top level stuff that exceeds most of the independent dyno labs. They get all of the information they need from this dyno, including dynamic lap simulations as well as the tolerance for full batch variations. Their marketing department use nothing but these numbers and every time a customer decides to go to an independent dyno lab, these numbers are met or exceeded.
I am not saying that this is the case with the Hindle exhaust (I have got zero experience of their products), but just because they do not go to an independent dyno lab, they are not necessarily crooks...

Shaddow44, any info if this is going to be a 4-1 exhaust or a 4-2-1 exhaust...? My feeling is that this choice alone will have a much bigger effect on the low- and midrange torque than the mighty EXUP valve itself...

No one has the same equipment as Dynotech.

His..are only numbers I trust as well.

Alatalo, I'm not sure what he's doing as far as 4 into 1 or 4-2-1, hopefully I'll have more by the end of the week.

spddmon....Hindle will be dynoing in house, they are pruchaseing a dyno from what Lee told me, and it will not be going to Dynotech.
