always had a problem removing my belt on a yamaha. This simple tool
make it very easy when you are on the trail. Ther is a clutch tool that cost 35.00 which is very good, but if you have more than one sled this helps in dollor department.

MATERIAL ITEMS
2-"C" clips to match extension bits
2-#12mm six point short sockets
2-3/8 drive bit extension, the type for battery drill
try to get the ones that has a round shaft. glue the socket to extension
bit (gorlilla glue works good)
1-11" aluminum flat stock,square,or angle(i used angle)

NOTES
1. cut the extension bit shaft about 1"long,also cut a grove in to it to
hold the clip. to do this put a hack saw with blade up in a vice.
put the extension in a drill and run it down the blade.
2. drill two holes in alum flat stock 1/2 from the end and 4" on center
on the flat stock. match holes sixe with extension bit tighter the better
3. round the ends of flat stock
4. wrap foam around end of flat stock wrap it with duct tape for a
handle.

OPERATION
1. ALIGN SECOUNDARY CLUTCH BOLTS SO THER ARE TWO BOLTS
AT THE TOP ONE AT THE BOTTOM..
2. PLACE TOOL OVER LOWER BOLT AND TOP BOLT ON LEFT.
3. TURN TOOL CW WITH HANDS ON TOP AND BOTTOM,WITH HAND
BRAKE ON (USE A CABLE TIE) IF TRACK IS OFF THE GROUND.
AS THE CLUTCH TURNS CW PUSH IN ON THE BOTTOM OF THE
TOOL. REMOVE BELT OVER THE TOP.

this tool can be made for 10.00 or less put together less than hour.

problem with doing this with #12 wrench is pressure on single bolt
using twoo bolts no chance twisting off bolt.

MAKE ONE FOR A FRIEND.

only problem i see is thats goin to bounce around and chew up everything in your storage compartemnt. the ones you buy that go under the secondary bolt only require a piece of threaded rod which can fit in the factory tool box.

tool mounted to clutch is way to go no doubt
this is if you HAVE more one sled. simple idea
that maybe helpful

i wrap a towel around it put in tool kit bag, i use saddle bags
